March 20, 201313 yr Absolutely. I'd rather Duke repeat than UL win once. There has to be a story or a family rivalry there because I can't comprehend that.
March 20, 201313 yr Gametime said yesterday on the radio that TOTAL attendance for the SEASON for Robt Morris was about 15k.
March 20, 201313 yr Gametime said yesterday on the radio that TOTAL attendance for the SEASON for Robt Morris was about 15k. Wow! Obviously there is something more entertaining going on in Moon Township, PA.
March 20, 201313 yr Neither loss is good & I'd rather have Duke's loss to Lehigh than UK's loss to Robert Redford. Simply because of NCAA vs. NIT. From my vantage point, that's the only difference between the two. It would be a perfect storm for you if Duke won this year. Beat UK. UK loses in NIT 1st round to Robert Frost. Duke wins the title. If that happened, my body would run out of hatred. One of the best posts of the year!!
March 20, 201313 yr There has to be a story or a family rivalry there because I can't comprehend that. No, I just hate UL with Pitino at the helm.
March 20, 201313 yr No, I just hate UL with Pitino at the helm. Agree 100%. Louisville minus Pitino, then I'd say UL.
March 20, 201313 yr No, I just hate UL with Pitino at the helm. Although I rate Duke and UL basically on the same level of my extreme dislike I will say that regardless who is the coach, I can't stand Louisville.
March 20, 201313 yr Wow! Obviously there is something more entertaining going on in Moon Township, PA. Yeah, leaving.
March 20, 201313 yr I just wanted to add one last comment on the game/title of this thread. I think a lot of people, me included failed to give Robert Morris any credit at all. That team came out ready to play, had a great game plan from an excellent coach. They executed their game plan obviously by listening to what their coach was saying, were prepared and played as a team and went out and beat U.K. by playing hard, talking to one another on the floor and leaving every ounce of strength they had laying on the floor. Robert Morris deserved to win with the way they played vs. the effort the Cats put out. Those qualities are some this seasons U.K. rarely, if ever really had. The were out for their own agenda (except Polson & Noel) and could give a crap less about what Cal and other coaches were saying.
March 20, 201313 yr You're out of your mind if you think Lehigh is a bigger upset than this. Defending NCAA champion is a 1 seed in the NIT playing against 8 seeded Robert Lawrence. The fact that The University of Kentucky Men's Basketball Team wasn't a.) good enough to make the expanded field of 68 in the real tournament....One Shining Moment.....(not even in a 16 vs 16 Play In game) and then b.) proceeded to lose in the first round of a tourney that absolutely nobody in the world cares about except for ESPN and then add in the fact that c.) UK and their rabid, passionate and loyal fans proclaim to be the best Men's Basketball to ever grace the court in college basketball and there you have it. Robert Lawrence upset > Lehigh upset. I'm sure as a stereotypical UK fan you will choose to live in denial though. That's cool. It's expected. You have to be kidding me. Duke as a #2 seed in the NCAA losing to a #15 seed is a way bigger upset than last night. I'm a diehard UK fan but I am not one of the 18%. I told everyone in the office UK would lose last night. You have an overrated freshman class that lost their best player, lost the last four road games by a 17 point average. You have a coach that had no problem sending his team on the road when they could have made it work at Memorial gym if he wanted to. He has his starting point guard (who sucks) play nine minutes and plays Hood nearly the whole game when he hasn't played that much all year combined (it seems anyway). You go to a small town in a small gym where Robert Morris is playing their "NCAA Championship". And I'm sure you are not dumb enough to say this is last years championship team as everyone is different that played other than Wheelchair who is in a mental shooting slump and couldn't guard me. I'm just glad this season is over as they were hard to watch after Noel went out. Good luck to your Dukies. The last 8 games as a #2 seed, I think they are 4-4... Hope they make the sweet 16.
March 20, 201313 yr Author I haven't checked if we had a Duke/Lehigh thread, but I'm sure we could go back & look at the old BGP March Madness contest if we really wanted. Neither loss is good & I'd rather have Duke's loss to Lehigh than UK's loss to Robert Redford. If it happens...just move. To Wyoming.

You and me both. Duke losing in their first ACC tourney game and their 3 game postseason losing streak has me concerned. It seems like feast or famine for Duke since the Redick years. I keep telling myself I am just going to enjoy the tourney and expect a UL/Miami final.
March 20, 201313 yr A bad Kentucky team, with the most over hyped freshmen class ever loses to a smaller but good Robert Morris team is not that big of a upset.
March 20, 201313 yr You're out of your mind if you think Lehigh is a bigger upset than this. UK was favored by 3 points.
