March 20, 201313 yr IMO all of them will not be back. If it's because Cal yanks scholarships that could really hurt his recruiting, don't want other coaches telling recruits look if he can't get you to the NBA in a year he will ship you out and replace you.
March 20, 201313 yr What A great Trifecta for UK 1. Not making the NCAA 2. Losing to Robert Morris in the NIT 3. Having that other KY team invade your town for the weekend
March 20, 201313 yr If it's because Cal yanks scholarships that could really hurt his recruiting, don't want other coaches telling recruits look if he can't get you to the NBA in a year he will ship you out and replace you. Like Kevin Galloway?
March 20, 201313 yr Sure. But it was THE play where they scored the winning basket. Actually that play resulted in a blocked shot. The inability to rebound led to game winning FT's

Could also be that their playing time will decrease and have nothing to do with Cal yanking their scholarship. A transfer looks likely. I can see 2 not returning and moving on to another place.

They will only have 5-6 max coming back on scholarship. I heard the asst. coach state they had at least 1 more scholarship open for next year.
March 20, 201313 yr Actually that play resulted in a blocked shot. The inability to rebound led to game winning FT's Semantics. The ability to throw in from the endline vs the coffin corner made a HUGE difference.
March 20, 201313 yr Semantics. The ability to throw in from the endline vs the coffin corner made a HUGE difference. What I'm sayin is that it shouldn't have made a difference if they'd played it properly.
March 20, 201313 yr What I'm sayin is that it shouldn't have made a difference if they'd played it properly. Mr Obvious, I get that. However, it still had an impact. Did the official make a mistake?
March 20, 201313 yr I thought the same thing Clyde. The ball should have been entered from the sideline and it does make a huge difference, because more or less the ball is being entered going away from the basket and with short shot clock you are looking at a jumper to break tie. However, this season needed to be put to rest. I told my wife, watch this...it will be a layup attempt. They got it and WCS blocked it and I think he deflected the ball out of Poythress hands.
March 20, 201313 yr Mr Obvious, I get that. However, it still had an impact. Did the official make a mistake? No sense in getting defensive on me. Not my fault but it doesn't matter where the ball was inbounded from because they had called a timeout and UK was able to set the defense they wanted and they knew the inbound placement going into the timeout. I'm sure Cal would have argued if he seen fit.
March 20, 201313 yr All the UK fans (in my circle ) expected this outcome. Been a boring season except for watching the non UK fans I know getting mad because UK fans agree with them and wouldnt argue about this team. Not to take away from Zach Morris or is it Robert, anyway, but a lot of high school teams could beat this UK team.

Nah, Alex just totally whiffed on the ball.
