North College Hill 65 South Laurel 57

O.J. Mayo is the real deal. I think that if they hadn't made the rule up about the age limit to enter the NBA draft. He would have skipped college and gone straight to the pros. But now he has to go to college. Hope he comes to UK.

According to the word on the street Mayo will not be coming to KY...Mayo, Walker and coach Huggins will come as a package deal to some lucky school. Would you trade Tubby for the three?

Someone go back and look what I said about this game 2 months ago. I said the top teams in KY always compete with the top tier teams Nationwide. Ky teams just play good basketball.

Well obviously, you seriously think Mayo would contemplate college if they haden't made this rule.

Talk about an easy game plan.....North college Hill get a rebound send two dunkers the other way and throw the ball to them. It would be nice to coach 5 players like this it really takes away from game planning

I tip my hat to South Laurel but I will admit that the Cards got some home cooking. I'm not saying by any means that NCH didn't foul but a good portion of their fouls started getting called when 9 times outta 10 they would be overlooked. That seemed to take the wind out of a seemingly lifeless bunch of Trojans.!

Well after watching the Trojans time and time again, I would find it ludacris that you would say that there was homecooking towards South Laurel. North College Hill deserved every foul that they got, if not more.

Watching North College Hill makes me sick at my stomach, all of the talent in the world, if not one of the best teams in the US, but ATTITUDES are horrible. Thier show reminds me of a traveling circus. I watched closely to all of the arrangements last night, and it was sickening. I watched the tournament director sucking up to them and even talking about the refs at halftime with some of their loyal fan base. One of the most sickening parts was watching their coach drawing up plays during timeouts and all 5 members kept turning around listening to their BACK-SEAT Coach(A man in the stands). I thought that guy behind the bench did such a good job coaching during the game, that I told him good game coach after the game. :D That was a riduculous situation and a slap in their REAL Coaches face, but it is his fault to put up with it.

All I know, is these are not the same young men that left Rose Hill School, they were gentlemen, and now they feel everyone owes them something. Always great to see players walking onto the court during warm-ups with no desire and some didnt even warm up. They didnt think that they needed to, but almost left with a LOSS. :thumb:

Good game Laurel and I will still admit thru all of my frustration that OJ and Bill are the best players that I ever saw :thumb:

I thought Hammonds came out and showed no fear. I bet Allen is sore this morning, he and Walker banged eachother aorund all night. I found South to be more impressive than NCH in as far as their rankings are concerned. South definitley looked like one of the best teams in the state but NCH #2 in the nation?? Mayo is listed at 6' 5", looked more like 6' 3" from where I was. NCH showed a lack of disipline in shot selection, whined on every call, and seemed to ignore their coach during timeouts.

Rumor is, Tubby was there to watch 6' 11" Ellis as another project pivot for the cats. :D

He's a legit 6-5. I'm 6-4, and I had to look up slightly to look him in the eyes.

I agree... I got to see him about a month ago and we were eye-to-eye. In Nike Shox I'm right at 6' 6". He's grown at least 2" since he was at Rose Hill.

This was a very entertaining game to watch. NCH really got into foul trouble early and it let SL come back into the game. OJ's shot has definately got a lot better since i seen him play at Rose Hill. Bill Walker is just an amazing athlete, i have never seen anyone get up as quick as he can. Kenan Ellis was really impressive running the floor great for a big man. SL just played great team basketball and played excellent defense on NCH. Trey Smith and Hammonds both had great games, and so did Ty Proffit. And yes Tubby was there watching...I liked the part when they announced UT beat Florida and they added the comment that Chris Lofton added 28 pts, bet Tubby liked that

I thought it was kinda bush, really.

Who was he there with??? :sssh:

I still say he will never see a textbook. Can you imagine the option of a)MILLIONS and MILLIONS upfront for a shoe contract or b)hauling his posse to a college campus and not getting jack.

NBDL(with bulging pockets).

Every team has good nights and off nights! Also, factors such as illness, injuries and foul trouble factor in as well. BUT, while taking nothing away from SL which is a very good team, they would be luck if they could beat NCH 1 out of 10 in a 10 game series.

I'm sure to many that NCH didn't live up to expectations, the hype has people expecting an NBA team. This is only high school you have to remember!

"Kentucky is a great school, one of the top schools in the country, so of course any player is going to look at them," he said.

Who was he there with??? :sssh:

Ooh! Ooh! I know!

Don't get me wrong the fouls that NCH were called for were fouls as I stated earlier. They were just fouls that do not get called 9 out of every 10 times. South Laurel is a great team and NCH appeared to overlook them but the Cards turned some heads last night.
