October 28, 201213 yr Not really, Texas Tech is still having a decent year despite K-State demolishing them, West Virginia could still win 8 or 9 games this year as will Texas. That is 4 pretty good wins. USC, Oklahoma, and Stanford will be Notre Dame's best wins. That's four wins for K-State that are pretty good and 3 for Notre Dame. K-State will also have the best second tier win with Baylor compared to any of the lower teams on ND's schedule.Texas Tech lost to Oklahoma 41-20 and gave up 121 yards rushing. Oklahoma only had 15 yards rushing against the Irish and it was a home game for the Sooners and they lost 30-13. Oklahoma beat Texas 63-21, Kansas destroyed West Virginia and Texas Tech, Oklahoma only lost to Kansas State 24-19. I would say three good wins for Kansas State since West Virginia has no defense. So that brings us back to what Swamprat said, and I agree with him.
October 28, 201213 yr Anyone can say what they want; HUGE win for the Irish and Coach Kelly. The Irish defense is flat out awesome and is capable of playing with anyone, and I mean anyone. The offense needs some work still, but this defense can play, plain and simple. Congratulations to the Irish and fans, huge win. They are good, proved it last night. But they would have trouble stopping Alabama. Alabama is not Oklahoma. And Bama's defense would shut down Notre Dame's offense, imo. I think the national championship game will be between Alabama and Oregon when all is said and done.

You can say the top wins are the same but the quality of schedule for K-State is much deeper than Notre Dame's.
October 28, 201213 yr Texas is not a good team. They were lucky to escape Lawrence, Kansas with a win. They also give up an average of 32.75 points per game. With all the built in advantages that the Longhorns have Mack Brown should be worried about his job.
October 28, 201213 yr Notre Dame 41 Miami 3 Kansas St. 52 Miam 13 Notre Dame 30 Oklahoma 13 Kansas St. 24 Oklahoma 19 Irish seem to compare fairly equally to Kansas St. against both of their common opponents.
October 29, 201213 yr BYU, and the Michigan schools are far lesser opponents than West Virginia/Texas Tech/Texas. You can say the top wins are the same but the quality of schedule for K-State is much deeper than Notre Dame's. You must really hate Notre dame to make you believe what your saying. You talking about west Virginia a team who got blown out two weeks in row but acting like that is still a good win. While putting down some of Notre dame s teams. If you want to talk about who Notre dame played you can't then talk up Kansas states is better when their opponents have showed the same thing.
October 29, 201213 yr I know there is a lot of Ohio state fans on here. So they should have a hard time still putting down Notre dame when notre dame is getting it done the same way Ohio state did to win their last title. Great defense inconsistent offense. A lot of ugly games but just found ways to win still. Plus you have a team in bama who is dominant like Miami was that year.

That is an interesting comparison, the Alabama of today versus the Miami of 2002 (it was 2002 correct?). Off the top of my head, I would say that Miami team was a little more explosive but the Tide are more disciplined.
October 29, 201213 yr If Alabama, Notre Dame, Oregon, Kansas State and Louisville all win out...there will be epic meltdowns when 3 undefeated teams get left out.
October 29, 201213 yr What a huge win for the Irish. Only fitting that Manti Teo gets the huge INT. Golson's stats wont jump off the page at you, but the kid did a great job Saturday night especially not turning the ball over. Only 4 other QB's can say they've lead their team to victory in Norman in the Bob Stoops era, that has to be a little special for EG. Hopefully ND doesn't fall asleep vs Pitt, BC, and Wake.

UL has by far the easiest path to remain undefeated.
