The fans that I talked to and the posts on the GoVolsXtra website seemed to be split between him and Gundy initially--at least after Gruden was revealed to be a fantasy. Now most are trying to say that the Vols were simply trying to get a list of candidates together and they hadn't offered the job to anyone. Most of those people seem to have moved on to Petrino. Of course as far as I know none of these people have any inside knowledge--I was just reporting on the general mood and consensus of the fans.
