If some message board poster (Clyde) knows Charlie isn't leaving, than surely Jurich knows it too, right? No reason to give him anything more if you really believe he isn't leaving. Obviously, it's easy for said message board poster to say he's not leaving when said message board poster doesn't have any skin in the game. If I'm the AD and I want him to stay I don't take a chance. I make it easier.

It will be about ego, prestige, facilities, fan base etc... On the contrary-- the further up the mountain you get the more it matters. The difference between top 10 and top 5 is much greater than the difference between top 25 and top 20.

Maybe it's unrelated, but if you're Jurich wouldn't you be a little worried about the "ACC membership" given all the rumblings of various programs (specifically FSU and Clemson) eager to jump ship?

It has been funny to hear about the flight trackings, restaurant sightings, house shopping stories etc. It has been just like a UK basketball coaching search. The fans down here have now started acting like Strong was just a candidate and not their top choice. On Monday they considered him a home run hire. At this point my gut feeling is that Strong stays at Louisville. Although the Cardinals can match Tennessee's money they cannot match Tennessee's facilities, fanbase, prestige, and standing in the SEC. Everything points to him leaving and I think the fact that he didn't go immediately shows that he doesn't want to go.

I did hear a 3yr/18million number thrown out on SC radio (like they would know?) yesterday. Will be very interesting to see what he's making this time next year regardless of where he's coaching.
