sumoroyal
Reds lost first game with a real lack luster effort in the first game. The Punisher did hit one into the second deck though. Lucas Sims starting tonight I believe.
sumoroyal
Between Igelias, Garrett and Lorenzen they have a combined 16 losses. I know they have been terrible in late game situations but let me throw this in. Our late game offense has been terrible also. In tie games we just have a lot of trouble scoring runs in late game situations. We don't bunt and have a tough game scoring if it is not a Home Run. Some of these losses can be blamed here and manager decisions.
sumoroyal
Reds relievers are walking the whole team tonight. It just amazes me that our receivers can not throw strikes to begin the inning. We must walk the first batter and sometime the first two.

16thBBall Fan
Why is Peralta still on this team? He has been pathetic, surely they’ll cut him loose after the year is over.
MJAlltheWay24
Did the announcers say anything about why they took Lucas Sims out of the game so early last night? Was that planned all along? Things I'm not privy to while working down there.
16thBBall Fan
On a positive note Aristides Aquino was named the MLB player of the month. His 14 homers in the month of August is the most by a rookie in a calendar month in the history of baseball.

I believe that he leads the majors in HRs and RBIs since being called up, prior to last night.

sumoroyal
Reds have successfully proceeded to blow a five run lead. Lorenzen gives up Home Run to Jay Bruce to tie the game. Again, Reds put up early runs and do not score more as of yet.
