theguru
Jacob Ehling with the win for McCracken and Dylan Schneider with the save. Hacker takes the loss for Rowan.
DevilMayCare
Tremendous outing from Jacob Ehling (6.2 innings, 4 hits, 1 earned run, 6 K's). He silenced one of the best hitting teams in the state for six innings. Congratulations to the Mustangs.
DevilMayCare
This loss shouldn't diminish the year that Rowan County had. They were great all year and just ran into another great squad tonight in a one and done scenario. Their 39 wins ties them with Greenup County from a few years ago for the most wins in a season for a 16th Region school. And, of course, AJ Hacker won Mr. Baseball. There's a lot to feel good about in Morehead.

Voice of Reason
As you would expect when top notch pitchers face off. These types of games are great to watch. Every pitch can be a difference maker. Congratulations to Rowan County on a terrific year. Good luck to McCracken County in your next game.
gchs_uk9
McCracken County has won the 1st Region each of the six years since formed from consolidation. In the last three years they've advanced to the state semifinals where they've lost to St. Xavier, PRP, and Highlands. Tomorrow they'll face either Trinity or Hazard. Is this the year the Mustangs get over the hump?
th11257
This was a very gutsy performance by AJ Hacker. To come out and pitch two days after being Mr Baseball is tremendous expectation and a lot of pressure for a 18 year old kid. He struggled at first but recovered with a gutsy performance to a tremendous McCracken County team. He did not have his best fastball tonight but kept the McCracken team to one run before he exited the game. What a great year and a bright future for this young man! redleg13
Would love to see the Mustangs go all the way. The fact that these kids have been to the state semis so often has to help their chances. The girls softball won state a couple of years back. We need a boy's title to get a matching set!!
