Baseball legend and Hall of Famer, Tom Seaver, has been diagnosed with dementia.

So sad to hear this. Seaver was hands down my favorite pitcher growing up, even before he came to the Reds.

I saw this yesterday on line and agree...this is so sad...he was a great pitcher and seemed like a real class act...hate this for him and his family as dementia/alzheimers can be as tough on those around the person having it as the person himself.

Tom Seaver is one of my personal all-time favorite pitchers.

I remember as a kid watching him mow down The Big Red Machine era Reds and thinking, man the Reds need him. Then the next season he was there.

I really hate it for him and his family...that is such a tough break for someone that seemed like a really good guy.

Wow, this is so sad. As it is when anyone is stricken with with this disease and unfortunately it has touched our family quite a few times. I hate it.

So sad. Tom Terrific was one of my all-time favorite pitchers.

My Mother suffered from this disease....just awful.
