Winnipeg.

Mark Scheifele scored with 42 seconds left in overtime to end Tampa Bay's eight game winning streak.

The game was a fast, seesaw, high shooting affair, with 89 shots on goal tallied between the two teams, Bolts 47, Jets 42.

Alex Killorn opened the scoring with a power play goal with under 7 minutes to go in the 1st period, but Mathieu Perreault scored a PPG with just 17 seconds left in the period to leave it 1-1 after one.

Brandon Tanev gave Winnipeg a 2-1 lead midway through the second, then Steven Stamkos and Tyler Johnson both scored to put the Lightning back in the lead with 1:51 left in the period. A minute ten later, with 41 second left, Nickolaj Elhers tied it back up 3-3.

The Bolts regained the lead early in the 3rd on a power play goal by Nikita Kucherov, but Elhers tied it back up on a short rebound of a shot by Scheifele. McDonaugh was down there, but nobody was between Elhers and the goal on the rebound.

In overtime, Braydon Point attempted to center the puck, to whom I do not know, and created a 2-1 situation that Vassey could not counter.

Tampa Bay did pick up a point in the OT loss. With Toronto idle and Buffalo beating Boston, placing Buffalo ahead of Toronto, the Bolts ended up not losing ground to second place. Winnipeg did pass by Nashville for 1st in the Central.
