Russell will be 0-3 soon at this rate and May lose to teams like Bath County and West Carter this season.

Congrats to Greenup County out played and out coached Russell big time.

Greenup County looked really solid after a sluggish start on defense. That said, Russell helped them look solid at some points. To be frank, Russell was out coached, outplayed and outmanned in my unbias opinion. That doesn't mean the Red Devil's are going to have a terrible season, but they're gonna lose their first three games.

My hat's off to the Musketeers. They were simply too good tonight. Sammons to Kelly is a dangerous combo. Sammons didn't complete many passes on the night, but nearly all of them were to Kelly for big yardage. It's amazing how much better 4A District 8, and Greenup in particular, has gotten over the past couple of years

Russell's got a lot of work to do if they're going to have a winning season. They looked good on the opening scoring drive, and then the offense went on a walkabout for a few possessions. The fake punt was a puzzling call. Greenup immediately capitalized, found their mojo and Russell never recovered.

The kids have got to stay positive and keep grinding. They just lost a rivalry game. Nothing more.

The fourth and two attempt and the fake punt on back to back possessions in the second quarter from Russell were two of the worst decisions that could possibly have been made. Everything changed at that point.
