Purple88
I'm hearing it's going to be a ground and pound year for the Colonels. Having to replace a 4 year starter at QB will be a tough task. Defense should be good though.

Colonels_Wear_Blue
Will they have a winning season after losing so many great seniors? Man...the Colonels went 11-1 last season, and now you're questioning whether or not they're able to even have a winning season this season? Tough crowd. Guest fogdog.com
They lost most of their skilled players and now two of their lineman have went to a prep school in Tennessee. Looks like a rebuilding year for the Colonels and they lost one of their good coaches also. They always find a way to win but this year looks like it will be tough? The Scribe
I think they will have a tough time winning six games given their schedule

Region2 Hype Man
People will be surprised at how good CCHS is this season. Their QB, Abren, looks to be a very special talent. Mobile and good at making decisions. Traditionally, Lovelace's offenses feature a lot of athletes but aren't very efficient or complex. They are very physical. Love is a D guy and he likes clock control from his offenses, he's never been comfortable putting up the big numbers. Abren will be a challenge for most teams to defend with his elusiveness. The schedule is not weak and has good teams up and down, but not a murderers row by any means. A school like CCHS should always have talent up and down the roster and Love is a coach that always knows how to use it. Might not be what they had last year (went 10-0 against a softer schedule that did not have them ready for November football like Love's schedules usually have), but this will be a respectable football team come playoff time. TilghmanPride
I talked with one of the players at Austin Peay's football camp who shared his concern with departures from some very talented Seniors. I understand his concern, but believe they will be much better than what a lot of people expect.
SomewhereOffTheMap
Colonels lost a large group of talented seniors. I think 10 or so moved on to play at the next level somewhere? Add in 3 key transfers from the program and you have a lot of shoes to fill. With that being said, several young players got playing time last season and I’m hearing they have had good springs and summers. It will be interesting to see how they have developed. With the change in Offensive Coordinator and personnel I think you will see more of the style of play that Lovelace prefers, field position and ball control. Defense should be pretty good. Offense will be interesting to see. Running back has potential to be extremely good but question will be if they can have a good enough passing game to take the focus off of him. Only time will tell. Guest fogdog.com
They do play a very tough schedule and will hard pressed to have a winning season. Losing their OC will be a big hurt for them as he was rock solid and very well thought of with the players and parents. Will see how much this loss with a rookie QB and major OL loss will impact this team.
