4A #4 Franklin-Simpson vs. 3A #3 Elizabethtown Predictions

Will a new QB for the 4A State Runners-Up Wildcats cause trouble or will RB/LB Saul Brady be a stabilizing force?

The Panthers return an experienced QB in Durbin, along with three experienced performers for RB. Will there defense be able to mirror their offensive strength?

Mark Brown teams are always pretty solid at stopping the run. Teams which can pass -- pass when they WANT to, not when they NEED to, at least -- can churn up the yards.

Surprising as this is to say, BOTH teams kind of need this as they were both coming off big seasons last year and want to show they're not flukes.

I'm from Hardin County, but I'm picking F-S in this one. Don't think by a lot, though. Believe this one will be competitive.

FS played a sloppy scrimmage Friday night in Louisville. Brady didn't play but a few series all night and none on defense. McKinney looked good but did leave hurt. Bass also left before half with an injury. My view says the Offensive line and Defensive secondary need a lot of work. FS will have their work cut out for them Friday night they will have to find a way to stop the pass and Protect the edge versus E-town in order to win. All that said I think FS figured it out and comes away with the win.

This is going to be a great game! I look for a 28-24 kinda score and like Franklin Simpson in the game, but wouldn't be surprised to see Etown battle with a chance at the end this early in the season.

If Franklin Simpson is anything like they were last season, they will win this game handily.

FS has the potential of the 2016 Cats but it may take a few games to show. E-Town will be a good gauge of where they are starting out.
