AAU Weekend Review 5/8-5/10

Sorry for the delay on the weekly recap. It's been a busy week at work.

Travelers: 1-3 in 3rd EYBL stop in Houston. I haven't seen any game recaps but they did beat Southern Stampede 84-82 in what must have been a good game.

Hoop Dreams Orange: Idle

Hoop Dreams Black: 4-1. Lost to Manimal in Final 4 at state.

Manimal: 5-1. Lost state championship to Charlotte Court

TBC Elite: 4-1. Lost to Charlotte Court in Final 4 at state.

KY Elite: 2-2. Lost in Round of 16 at state.

Charlotte Court: 6-0. Won AAU State Championship. Congrats to them!

Matts Mustangs: 6-0. Won AAU State Championship. Congrats to them!

Hoopsters: 4-1. Lost to Matts Mustangs in Final 4.

Travelers: 3-1 playing 17u at state. Lost to eventual champion Charlotte Court.

Magic: 5-1. Lost to Matts in Championship game.

Hoop Dreams Orange: 1-2. Lost on buzzer beater in tournament play.

Hoop Dreams Black: 1-2. Lost to River City Rockets in tournament play.

WKY Elite Red: 4-1. Lost to Magic in Final 4 in what was a great game to watch.

Next Level: 3-1. Lost to WKY Elite Red in Elite 8.

Lexington Future: 4-1. Lost to Shining Stars Lay in Final 4.

Hoop Dreams Orange: 4-1. Lost to Shining Stars Lay in Elite 8.

Shining Stars - Lay: 5-2. Lost to Attucks Wolfpack in pool play and Magic in the championship game.

Magic: 6-0. Won the state championship.

Attucks Wolfpack: 5-1. Lost in Final 4 to Magic.

I'm not sure if anyone played outside of AAU state this weekend. If they did, let us know below.

True. I forgot to include them. They've been hit hard with injuries, kids leaving, etc. and last weekend it was all 14u kids playing up with one or two 15u kids.

Nky legends 17u went either 4-1 or 5-1 losing to travelers on a last second long distance 3 by cvh

I was impressed with this teams ability to shoot the ball...

KY Select 17U went 2-1 winning their pool but was severely short-handed as all 3 of their bigs had prom missing the last game vs. KY Heat who were very athletic and did a good job exploiting some weaknesses of Selects 7 players and that is not taking anything away from the Heat. Good run by Select who shoot the ball extremely well but needed some size to finish out the weekend.

Kryptonite went 4-1 losing its only game to Lex. Future in the Elite 8.
