  1. I can answer the question about Greenup. There was nothing strange about their season, they just simply played no competition in the playoffs what-so-ever. They had a bad regular season because they were facing descent competition but once they go into district play and the playoffs they were just the best team out of the four bad teams. When you only have a four team district and all four of those teams have losing records, there is still going to be one team that comes out on top. Greenup was just the best team in one of the weakest districts in the state.
  2. Im going to have to agree with UT. T.J. Maynard has been nothing short of amazing since he has came to Raceland. He has turned what was an average defense in the past to one of the top defenses in Class A the past two years. And in 2006 the Rams had were in the top 5 in almost every defensive category in Class A thanks to him. I hope he stays at Raceland but Im sure there are a ton of schools that would love to have him as a head coach. He is one of the best defensive coordinators in high school football right now regardless of school size.
  3. Raceland 67 West 59 Rams get a little more offense going this game and take down the comets on the road. Sparks scores 20+.
  4. Im going to go with Belfry but not by as much as everyone thinks. I think Central will suprise some people. Belfry 30 Lou. Central 21
  5. IMO Beechwood will be way more experienced and far more phsyical then LCA. I have watched LCA play several times over the past 4 years and while they are blessed with a ton of speed and athleticism, they lack strength and tough, phsyical play. However, they do have two outstanding playmakers on offense in Witt and Hayden. I look for LCA to hang with Beechwood in the first half but the 9 Time state champions will pull away in the second half. BTW I was watching some Beechwood highlights, #12 and #44 can flat out play. Good luck to both teams. My prediction: Beechwood 38 LCA 17
  6. Congrats to the Rams and Coach Floyd on the win. Any stats from the game?
  7. Great win for the Rams! Congrats to all the players and coaches on a hard fought victory. As everyone has said, Denton and Carver were the difference tonight. Also a nice defensive effort by the Rams. Good luck next week guys.
  8. GO RAMS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  9. The game between these two well respected programs will come down to one thing, and although it sounds cliche', this game will be won in the trenches. The team who can control the line of scrimmage will win this game. I think both teams have shown weaknesses on the defensive side of the ball. Russell looks like they have been having trouble defending the pass and Raceland looks like they were having some difficulty stopping the run. Russell is the bigger and stronger team but Raceland is faster and has the more explosive offense imo. Im going to predict Raceland's O-Line to control Russells pass rush and allow Boyles time to find his open targets. Also Im sure Russell will get a heavy dose of #20 Brett Denton. Its going to an exciting game between two good football teams, but im going to pick Raceland to pull it out in the fourth quarter. My predicition: Ramblers 24 Red Devils 20
  10. Congrats to the Rams. Tyler Farley is going to be a good one if he keeps working hard. He's got all the tools to be the next successful RHS QB.
  11. The only time this will be a close game is before the coin toss when its 0-0. I just dont see anybody of NC stopping Denton. RHS 40 NC 15
  12. Congrats to the Rams. Anybody have any stats for the game?
  13. I think the RHS offense will really get it going this week and alot points. Its time for them to have a big game. Rams 41 Tigers 15
  14. It seems you RHS fans are forgetting about the most recent qb at Raceland. Scott Grizzle who is the all-time passing leader in school history and helped lead the rams to the schools best ever record of 11-2....dont see how u can leave him off there. If im not mistaking he broke all the career records at RHS this past season with the exception of completion percentage. I think he ended up around 67% for his career and Pettrey was about 70%.
  15. This is a good game every year. Last season, Raceland was clearly the better team but G.C. came ready to play and almost upset the eventual district champs from Raceland. Thats why I dont think there is a clear cut favorite for this game. But im going to go with the Rams pulling one out in late in the fourth quarter. Sparks could very well be the X-factor for Raceland, I look for him to hit a field goal or two. RHS 24 G.C. 20

LCA wins this one easily. Hayden is just way to much for Paris to contain. LCA 45 Paris 12
  18. I see Raceland's offensive line winning this one for the Rams. I just dont think East can compete with Raceland's front 5. Logan and Chinn will be clearing the holes for Denton and Carver all night long. Mix in a solid passing game and some stingy defense and I see the Rams winning this game fairly easy. RHS 31 (My other prediction- Denton rushes for 100+ yds.) East Carter 14
