Don't sleep on Bell too quick. They are still getting their legs under them, although they lost a big 1 to Harlan Co. last night. Also keep in mind they played Knox to a 1 point game at the CFIT. They will get better, they have 1 of the better coaches around. Corbin as I have said is head and shoulders above the rest.

Yes he has Leger started as a freshman every game. I remember Coach Larkey discussing how he was starting a freshman for the first time on offense going to Lincoln County to open the season.:thumb:

I did not make it to the game but listen on the radio. The 2 Corbin guys on the radio are top-notch. They do a great job. Corbin seems to be really putting it together. I think Bell will get the parts together too. They have a big one on Thursday night @ Harlan Co. I think Madon will see more time at PG and allow Zachary to play the 2 spot and free him up for more shots in the future.

Of Bell's 15 player on Varsity 9 I belive are football players. Zachery, Madon, Lowe, Overbay, Raines, and Patterson are all big contributors. They will continue to get better each week.

Will be better than the 1st game but Corbin is the class of the 13th. Bell proved it could hang with anybody when they took KC to the wire. Should be a fun game to watch.

I was just curious as to who called it? Had a few Techinicals assesed and wondered who did that. It is very un-South like to be T'ed up in a game? I will say again Corbin has the best talent in the Region and it appears they are coming together as a team now. It will take a very good effort by anyone to beat them. Who officiated the SL/Corbin and Bell/KC game? I talked to an offical who was a spectator at the Bell/KC game and he said that Bell got ripped on a block/charge call at the end of the game? Nice win for the Hounds? What was the attendance like tonight?

Should have moved the games to another site and played last night or earlier today. Don't say that was not possible b/c Lynn Camp did it. Fans and teams were already in route to the games last night, I doubt very many will return tonight. I for one will not drive down to Corbin on New Year's Eve and it is just 15 minutes for me.

Heck I would say both are very hesitant to play on New Year's eve. Sounds as if both teams drove down to Corbin only to be turned away.

I agree with your observations 100%. The football kids have to get some practice time in, I think they have practiced 4 times together so far. Also they must get in basketball shape. I think Madon could be a key for the team's sucess down the road. His ball handling and ability to run the point will help take the load off of Zachary. The big guys have to perform. Robbins and Chambers were non-exsistent in the Corbin game. From seeing Corbin they are the most talented team in the 13th. I wish I could see the SL/Corbin game tonight. Best talent vs. the best Team.

I think it is more off an issue with out of state teams. They are typically the ones with the complaints most of the time. IMO they are very warranted. They usually get the shaft just as Gaffney did yesterday.

I agree naming a entire unit is silly. Whitley Co. had a great year, earned tons of respect, but just b/c WYMT did a story on them does not mean they have the best OL in the mtns. I know it sounds like a "homer" comment but how does Bell Co's OL not get mentioned? A little off subject but I think it is a very sad commentary when Bell has got more coverage after the State Championship from Knoxville TV stations from a different state and farther distance than what WYMT has done.

Great human and very good coach. I am not sure about being better next year? But there will not be much of a drop-off.
