KC is coming off a landmark year in which they were Regional-runner up. KC has to replace their leading rusher, QB and most of their defense. They will remain one of the better teams in 4A. The most important game of the season for the Panthers will be when they host Rock for what will be the 2nd place in the district. I think they lose too much to have a shot at Bell. They JV and freshman games the past couple of years have not been close so I think they will be searching for some players. They will however be well coached and will play hard. Merida should be the leading ball carrier along with Bailey at FB will make a decent running game. Canday will be the QB I suppose?

Shoot Bubs the Cards know everyone in this area. They have Notebooks for everyone.

I still have some doubts about Spurlock at Clay. He does a good job of motivating his players they play very, very hard but I am not sure about the X's and O's. With that being said Roscoe and Wright will move on behind St. John. SL 59 Clay 51

Not even close. Football out earns Basketball. Lots of Basketball game barely make enough to cover the officalls. Check the numbers.

Branham was a nice player. But in M'boro's defense he has to make plays. Everyone else on defense has a man just like in Basketball. That leaves the MLB free to roam and make plays. Their MLB's always put up big numbers on defense in that system. It never changes, he (Kenny) makes ZERO adjustments. They had some studs that year that is why they won. Kelley, Powell, Branham, Wynn and so on could play. Special teams were very, very good in all phases.

SL is not in better shape than it was 3 years ago by any means. They need a Coach that is in it to stay and knows what it takes to build a winner.

I think this will be a very interesting game that I hope to watch. It would not suprise me to see NL win. I think if they control Messer for KC they will win.

I would think this will be a pretty good job. They are in a winable district with a chance to compete. I would think SL will have to look for some stability in their next Coach. Lets hope they don't take as long a NL did.

They must get some stability if they want any hope of having a decent program. I would imagine they have to look for a young coach with lots of energy. Any names floating around?

Looks like 3 really good games. The exception being Corbin/Harlan Co.

If I were picking a parking lot game I would probally pick 4 of M'boro's starters first and Caldwell being the number 5. The Jackets have 3 very good scorers. M'boro should win but will not. HC in a close game.

Good theroy but I would not give that credit. Robbins shot FT's well during the season for Bell Co. Once he got fouled inside the other on the floor, in which Jones yelled at the player for fouling by saying "why." But anyway it worked out for him. :thumb:

Not an upset IMO. Strange had a great career for the Mtn. Lions. I always enjoyed watching him play.

Need to get some things done on the defensive side of the ball. From what I saw they did not seem very excited to play defense. Also they need to find a QB that run the offense or get a new offense. TC always has talent and size they need to get it going.

Good win for Harlan Co. Very simply put you can't not miss Free Throws and win in the Tourney time. 1 Bell player missed 4 in a row at the end of the game. Harlan Co. hit their FT's and won the game. Jones is a very good coach but from watching their young kids I don't see them being a 13th region power anytime soon. They will compete but not be a power.

Will not draw till the weekend b/c they don't know who is in the tourney yet. I think they are slated to start boys play on Monday.

Denney is a scouting fool. Someone said they saw him at the Corbin Elementary recess the other day with his notepad getting ready for the 2018season. :lol:
