Harlan County vs Middlesboro 52nd district title game

Featured Replies

M'boro has beat Harlan Co. twice this season. M'boro has good size, talent, and speed. Look for the Bears too have a huge crowd after that great win against Bell Co.

Predictions?

Middlesboro seems to have taken a bit of a decline late in the season, but is loaded with talent in every position. They will be tough to beat if they are making shots. Harlan County will be ready, as Coach Jones will have his troops well prepared. A low scoring game will give Harlan County the best shot at victory, and a high scoring game would be in favor of Middlesboro. Should be a great game to watch.

I think it will be a low scoring game with HC coming out on top, tough to beat a team three times in one season unless you are way, way better. I though the Bears would beat Bell and I think they upset M'boro. 52 to 49.

Harlan County wins this one. It will be hard for the Yellow Jackets to beat them 3 times this time.

If I were picking a parking lot game I would probally pick 4 of M'boro's starters first and Caldwell being the number 5. The Jackets have 3 very good scorers. M'boro should win but will not. HC in a close game.

Good quote, I would take those 4 kids first also in a pick up game. M'boro is loaded with talent and should win this game, but Coach Jones will have a good game plan.

I'd agree with that as far as the top five. I don't think I'd pick four of them ahead of Caldwell though. They sure don't have anyone they'd match up with him one-on-one.

That goes back to what I've said before about Middlesboro having very good talent.

Harlan County is deeper though, especially from 7 down.

Both coaches play 7 kids max, unless they are big time foul trouble.

That's true.

I'm just pointing out that Harlan County has a good group of younger players.

58-58 in the fourth. Not sure how much time is left.

Black Bears had six point lead, but M'boro has held Harlan County scoreless for a while now.

60-59 M'boro - 4:15 to go in fourth.

Brown hit two free throws for the Jackets.
