End of a stellar career for James David Strange.

Wow, I really liked Pineville this year. Seems like a pretty big upset.

This was Dinky at home in the district ? Knox Central better come ready, or it could be the equivalent of South Carolina & Kentucky.

I don't know about all that but KC better come ready to play.

IMO not a big upset at all. Both coaches are two of the best around, James David Strange may be the best overall player in the region, other than him the talent is better at Bville (not great,just better overall). I think after watching both teams the last two nights I think the Tigers can upset KC. Should be a battle thats for sure.

Pineville was playing much better than I expected through the All "A" Classic. They hit a lull after that, so it's probably not a big upset, especially at Barbourville. I think that was probably a matchup between the numbers 10-11 teams in the region. Bell County and Whitley County are probably the only teams ranked higher that didn't make the regional.

B-ville has improved a lot this season. They have a very good Coach who has been around. I also think Strange is one of the best PG the 13th has seen in recent years. Maybe since Cash from the Rock and Vance from B-ville.

I'm going to pat myself on my back on this one because I called it. But with that said, it wasn't a surprise since Pineville began to get into a rutt a bit after the All A. Add to the fact that it was at Barbiurville and you can never count out Dinky's teams in the post-season.

 

As for saying Bville will beat Central, I don't see that happening.

I have to agree BGP'ers Les told me last night that "Dinky will find some way to win this game." So that means that B'ville will be a packed house Friday night.

You said it yourself one can never count out Bville in the post season and this one will be on their home court. IMO if (and its a big if) the Tigers upset KC I won't be suprised. They have done it before.

Don't ever underestimate Dinky. His teams are always ready.

Not an upset IMO. Strange had a great career for the Mtn. Lions. I always enjoyed watching him play.

No one likes to see a career come to an end, but it’s unavoidable. James was an outstanding player and in brief moments I brushed into him a fine young man. Coach Strange always does a great job, and it is sad to think that his time coaching his son has come to an end. I wish them both the best of luck in all their future endeavors.
