Who officiated the SL/Corbin and Bell/KC game? I talked to an offical who was a spectator at the Bell/KC game and he said that Bell got ripped on a block/charge call at the end of the game?

I hope so too, but Corbin will probably have to play them 5 times this year.

 

One more regular season.

One in the district finals.

One in the region finals.

Of course, the district and region may not happen but I think it will.

SL needs to find some one who can score other than Saint John. He has improved a bunch but he can't do it alone. Corbin playsd more kids and they therefore get after it harder. South basically plays six. A breather would do wonders for South's kids. Corbin played well. I love to watch Manns and Smith because they are warriors. They are the unsung heroes for Corbin.

Good December win for the Hounds. Hopefully they can build on this tournament Championship and add a few more trophies to the case as the season unwinds. Seems South had no answer for the Hounds tonight. When they share the ball and penetrate towards the basket they are hard to defend. Good luck the rest of the way to both teams.

Corbin just played 7 but I do think T. Smith will help out down the road.

Very nice win as a matter of fact. The attendance was very good considering the unexpected change of date. The Hounds played great.

 

If you wanted to see who officiated you should've come to the game yourself but if I remember correctly, you didn't want to make the trip. Corbin won fair and square. In fact we had more fouls called on us than South Laurel did---it was a hard played game.

 

Don't know what happened in the Knox/Bell game but to imply that the loss is because of the refs is ridiculous. However, it is pretty much par for the course when it comes to disgruntled Bell fans. Bell and Knox are both very good teams that will have great seasons, perhaps the best team just won tonight. Not so far out of the realm of possibility. Happy New Year.

I agree Madison Johnson is a very solid player. I disagree on the referees'. Corbin took South out of sink instead. I am sure South will bounce back and be a favorite come tournament time. One game does not a season make.

I thought both games were good games tonight, and there was a lot of fan support and that was good for the Varsity Club. Of course a lot of fans showed up for the match of Corbin/South, but there were a lot of fans in the seats for the Bell/Knox. As for South/Corbin I am sure there will be many more games this year and the 13th region is up for grabs. You can never count out Steve Wright and Roscoe Denny when it comes to tournament time. But that is a few months away and a lot can happen, between then so lets just sit back and enjoy the fun that is coming our way folks. Happy New year to all!!

The house was quite full. Several Bell and Knox fans stayed around for the championship.........
