:laugh: Regular season meetings mean nothing. Guy and Isreal played zero offense in that game. Guy's lone touch was a Kickoff return TD.

I don't think anyone really said we had not played anyone. Just that most Boyle fans had thought they had played a better schedule which I think is completely untrue. Wish you all a safe trip to Log Mtn. It will be a sight on the Bobcat Hilton tonight. :jump:

MOST not all Boyle fans are the ones saying we don't stand a chance. You will find out tonight that your dynasty is a paper one. This will be a great game but I don't think the Boyle nation on a whole know what they are getting into. This is the same Bell team that played LC very close last year and we all know what LC lost from that team. I never said Boyle did not have a chance last week. Just that I thought LC would win. They would have if they had not broken down on a couple of big plays and caught a few passes that hit them in the hands. But anyway I am VERY glade Boyle won b/c that ensures a public school will win 4A.

I could be wrong but the more I see and read about Boyle they could be in for a huge disappointment??

I hope the Rebels are strapped up tight tonight. They have not faced a team in a few years like they will face tonight. The finesse teams they have played this year will not be a shadow of what Bell is on offense and defense. :devil: Good luck to both teams. I wish all players and fans a safe trip. :thumb:

Of course KC is better than Volunteer. KC was in the Regional finals. No b/c they practiced they will for sure win. lol Of course not but it amazes me how it is always the other team making someone look bad. When you don't come off the ball that has nothing to do with the other team. When you don't block the right assignment that has nothing to do with the other team. All of those things can be fixed in practice. Now if your blockers get defeated by the opponents D-line then they are better, that was not the case.

If it was always the other team making you look bad why even practice then?? That reasoning always makes me laugh.

Still can't fiqure out this statement??? Since Week 5 of the season Boyle has played a total of 1 team with a winning record. Lex Cath last week. I don't think this team has been tested YET. The best team they played was Lex Cath who lost a total of 18 starters from last years State champ team and most of their back-ups from that team as well. Jump pass is only for Rock. But Bell did not need it this year.

So Aumiller will be the best lineman on the field Friday night?? Not sure which RB you are talking about? We have a bunch all capable of carrying the mail. I think we have had 4 or 5 backs this year with over a 100 yards atleast once in different games.

They better be b/c they did not bring it last Friday night. I think the O-line faces the biggest challenge in this game. They did not show well this past Friday but get a chance at redemption this week.

#2 is very good. I would think the one on Bell's schedule that is similar is Rock's Casey Hayes he is very good. Great quickness and breaks tackles by the boat load then on defense he made tackles by the boat load. Whitley had 3 very good back as well none of them were as quick as Mcshara though although they were much bigger. #2 for Bell is not bad either.

What kind of defense is BE playing? How many holdover coaches do they have from the Settles days?

I agree with a lot of the posts on here and think it is one of the better game threads I have been on. But saying Bell will get out coached is a little far-fetched. Coach Hilton is one of the best all-time and he has a great staff. With numerous past Head Coaches from winning programs and he has a few future HC's somewere down the line on his staff.

Mud will not bother Merrick. A year ago on a muddy field he was kicking 40 yarders with one step to help with the footing. Kickoff's could be a little more challenging maybe he will just reach the endzone instead of the back of it. Monte is something special when he was a Soph. he had tendinitises in his right knee and could not kick so he kicked left footed that week and was 4 of 5 I think on PAT's. 1 was blocked.

I agree with this statement for sure. Seems alot of teams were have down years when the played Boyle or Bell in 2008. I know Volunteer High from Tn was a very good team last year with 28 seniors 3 of which played D 1AA this year. This years version was not very good and Bell rolled.

Bell played a better schedule than what you think. KC and Rock twice both have been in the top 5 of 4A at one time. Whitley Co. is 12-1 and hosting Highlands this week. Sheldon Clark was #3 or so in 3A when they made the trip to Log Mtn. Tates Creek got dismantled by Bell but they were a decent team. Played Lafayette and Scott Co. to mention a few pretty close. I don't see any team on Boyle's schedule like Bell from a defensive and offensive standpoint??? I maybe missing something??? Most appear to be spread finesse teams.
