Bell scored with around 4 minutes left in the game to take the lead back. On 3rd and 15 Bell ran a shovel pass to Matt Raines that went something like 70 yards to the Knox Central 6 yard line to set up the go-ahead score.

 

Anyways it was an amazing game. Knox Central played a great ball game from start to finish. Coach Mills did a great job with the program.

 

Bell Co. just found a way to win. Raines has really stepped up during the playoffs and Overbate made a couple big plays tonight.

I had not seen either team until tonight. Since our season was over I thought this would be a good one. It was a GREAT football game. Merrick backed up all of the talk and I thought he was the difference in the game, accounting for 8 points (I believe). Man, what a weapon he is! That KC defense was also very impressive. Good luck Bell, I hope you get another title. :thumb:

IMO better practice extra hard. Boyle is not KC, and Bell will have their hands full. This was a surprizing game!! A hard fought battle from both sides. KC should be proud. They scored more on Bell than anyone this year if I am not mistaken. Could Bell have underestimated KC? Merrick is a key factor, and I hope he becomes a Wildcat just a step up from Bobcat!!

I listened to the last 5 min. or so KC had Bell right were they would want them at 3rd and long and the shovel pass killed them, great call and what a time to get 70 yards, good luck Bell hope you win it all this close game may be just what the doctor ordered. UNREAL how far KC has came the last few years, how many seniors do they lose?

I agree with you on Bell's defense may not be as good as advertised. congrats to KC hard fought game and you guys had a great season.

I don't think there is anything wrong with Bell's defense. I just think Knox Central showed Bell Co and the rest of the world they were a little better than the 21-0 whipping they took early in the year.

Very good game. The crowds for both sides was awesome tonight, the atmosphere was perfect. I'm hoping next weeks game will be this exciting, hopefully with Bell winning it as well. I dont think its a case of Bells D being not as good as advertised, KC just showed up ready to play and their playmakers simply made plays. Raines is a serious weapon, no idea why he hasnt been invovled in the offense up until playoffs, He's easily from my point of view the fastest and probably best pure athlete out on the field, his pick to pretty much seal it was HUGE. This game could be just what Bell Co. needs to get them over the hump and into the 'Ville this year, and also I'd like to congratulate KC on a VERY good and hard fought game. Glad to see the unsportsmanlike penatlies pretty much eliminated from both sides.

Congrats to Bell Co. 13-0 and KC on a great 9-4 season came along way form 0-10 a few years back.
