Who it Littrell? 94 mph? Where was he last season? I'm not being skeptical, but I had a pretty close eye on HS baseball the past four years and i don't remember the name.

It could have to do with wearing down. At the beginning of games, i believe he has the ability to do that, as evidenced in his return for a touchdown I believe in both the CovCath and possibly it was Highlands, I'm not sure for long yardage. But as the game goes, due to the way he powers through defenders, his body wears down, and his break away speed starts to lack and defenders can catch him from behind, which makes him look as though he's not as fast. He's every bit as fast as his brother, if not more so. The lack of cutting ability is something else entirely. Austin collinsworth and Simpson are on another level when it comes to this. Watching Collinsworth cut as he runs is amazing. Elliott just doesn't have that ability, he's kind of stiff. He just powers ahead north to south.

You're right about his speed, talent, what he needs to work on etc etc. People say he isn't as fast, lacks speed..nope. He just is bulkier than the others who are as fast. But mexitucky is right, I see him as a FB moreso than a RB.

Cody and Travis actually have very similiar speed, they just look different because of their size. Travis is just as fast. And on top of it he has power. The one thing he is lacking right now is the break away speed, and his cuts aren't very strong. Right now he has D1 talent, his size may be the only thing that holds him back. He is almost TOO bulky. We'll see. In two years it may be unreal the things he can do. I've seen both Pike and Elliott play, and both have the ability to possibly go D1 one day. The difference is, Elliotts' talent is on another level right now. I'm not impressed with Pike, but I see the size potential and all of that. And as Clyde said, if you include juniors, Hempel is by far in the top. But Elliott is the top underclassman and it isn't close..

lol, well let's hope this all is just a rumor. And as someone else said, probably isn't anything that needs to be talked about til the end of the season, since I'm sure players read this and don't need to worry about it at this point.

I'll take Highlands by 3 TD's in the end. Seems like the amount Highlands likes to beat teams by for the most part lol so it seems like a safe bet.

1. Highlands 2. Ryle 3. Simon Kenton (I'm willing to switch 2 and 3 lol) 4. Conner 5. Dixie 6. Boone County 7-10 CovCath, Beechwood, Holy Cross and Holmes interchangably. I think any team could beat each other any night. So I'll wait on this. They're all too close.)

That will be the difference. Walker is his team. From many who were at the Bwood game, he pretty much was the one man team doing everything for them to bring in the win. Erpenbeck has more options and thus should be more successful.

Passing wise, Erpenbeck is without a doubt better than Walker. But Walker is a better running QB...better runner period. And he is more athletic size wise. That being said, Erpenbeck will still get his yards and if he is having a good night passing and Connelly is catching everything coming his way like Friday, CovCath wins by 2 TD's. If not...it's a close one.

When you're at the top you get the glory when you're good and when things aren't as good it is glaring. I'm sorry that some, not all, of those in the "promise land" are unrealistic, over the top, and apparently just flat out silly. I can't control all of that, lol apparently you can't either. I don't expect you to like everything I'd say, but really why keep thanking me for it? Take it as a compliment that people are willing to even consider putting Highlands into conversation with programs in Ohio.

I think at this point Highlands would have a 3 TD or more advantage on CovCath, being that they beat Ryle by as many, who beat CovCath by as many. So Highlands beat Beechwood by 3 TDs right? So I'd say this game could be a pretty darn good game. Both teams are rebuilding, and honestly I think talent wise are about evenly matched. CovCath has an advantage with Erpenbeck, but Covcath isn't going to win games being one dimensional, so hopefully this game they come out with some different facets to the offense, and if they do I'll take CovCath by 2 TDs. If not, I say it will be close, down to the wire, CovCath still edging it out. Also to add to this..heard Colosimo is making his name known...so that could be a difference maker too. Who knows...hmm.

Congrats to Matt. NKU is a great program and this is quite an accomplishment.

Oh Gosh, I know lol...saying that they'll still win 5A and are better than any team in NKY really warrants a "take a hike". Maybe you're one of the overzealous fans.

lol oh I'm aware, I just didn't think it'd be 0. For some reason I was thinking or hoping Manual would at least score. Wishful thinking I suppose. Sadly all this score made me think is, if Manual held Highlands 19 to 8, then Colerain would kill Highlands too..again...which just shows that even the best in KY don't match up well with OH.

Thank you and I'm sure everyone appreciates your sense of reality. I think Highlands has a big shock coming when they meet St. X in two weeks, however I still thin they'll win 5A in Kentucky. This goes to show that yes, Kentucky has a couple teams who can go into Ohio and play in a game and maybe make a slight game of it for a half, but overall it is just a different level.

I agree with you, they are three TDs better than any team in NKY. They'll still win 5A. But at this point I don't think it will be a great game. (St. X and Highlands). Don't care, just be realistic.

No. Anderson and Lasalle aren't even close..not even. It makes the Lasalle CovCath game what it was.

There's nothing wrong with what I said. Some people won't like it, but I fully expect that lol. But this team has a whole lot to work on before they are near the two teams that preceded them. Yet people still predict these massive blowouts. 4 weeks in a row those people have been proven wrong. Be realistic. Or else 2 weeks from now will just be all that more heart breaking. As for the game, I did hear Highlands fumbled 4 times in the red zone, so it could have been worse. But again, it "could" have been. That has been every game, how it "could" have been.

Agreed. Negative 5 yards rushing lol. And their passing wasn't all that great. Kremer just made some bad decisions..

I don't think Highlands will name the score at all, but I think they'll win. Boone just isn't where people think they are. I think Ryle is the better 6A team.

Wow. That's a heartbreaker. I really wanted to Holy Cross to take this and I thought they would.

It seems like Winton Woods probably would be a bit much for Highlands.
