  1. Thank you and I'm sure everyone appreciates your sense of reality. I think Highlands has a big shock coming when they meet St. X in two weeks, however I still thin they'll win 5A in Kentucky. This goes to show that yes, Kentucky has a couple teams who can go into Ohio and play in a game and maybe make a slight game of it for a half, but overall it is just a different level.
  2. I agree with you, they are three TDs better than any team in NKY. They'll still win 5A. But at this point I don't think it will be a great game. (St. X and Highlands). Don't care, just be realistic.
  3. No. Anderson and Lasalle aren't even close..not even. It makes the Lasalle CovCath game what it was.
  4. There's nothing wrong with what I said. Some people won't like it, but I fully expect that lol. But this team has a whole lot to work on before they are near the two teams that preceded them. Yet people still predict these massive blowouts. 4 weeks in a row those people have been proven wrong. Be realistic. Or else 2 weeks from now will just be all that more heart breaking. As for the game, I did hear Highlands fumbled 4 times in the red zone, so it could have been worse. But again, it "could" have been. That has been every game, how it "could" have been.
  5. Agreed. Negative 5 yards rushing lol. And their passing wasn't all that great. Kremer just made some bad decisions..
  6. lol SK goes without saying and I'd say Conner too yes.
  7. I don't think Highlands will name the score at all, but I think they'll win. Boone just isn't where people think they are. I think Ryle is the better 6A team.
  8. Wow. That's a heartbreaker. I really wanted to Holy Cross to take this and I thought they would.
  9. It seems like Winton Woods probably would be a bit much for Highlands.
  10. Wow impressive effort by Cooper to come back...when I saw, they were down 28 to 7.
  11. The better team won, and quite honestly in the polls, the two teams need to flip flop. Campbell shouldn't be ranked, CovCath should be 7 or 8. Erpenbeck is still CovCaths' best weapon, was the better QB between him and Kremer. I liked the way Kremer stayed in the pocket and wasn't afraid of that, and I think there are times Erpenbeck needs to do that, but other than that Kremers' decision making is poor. Erpenbeck was just solid all around. It helped him that Connelly was bringing in pretty much every pass thrown to him tonight, it was definitely a good night for him. Schaeffer also ran well. The line held well. Overall CovCath looked much better, and was the better team. Campbell killed themselves on offense, especially when their defense made some big stops to keep them within one score but the offense just couldn't get it done. Congrats CovCath on your first win under Wirth .
  12. That is a potent offense Highlands has over there...I'm glad everyone waited all year to see it. In all seriousness, the people who predicted this to be a 56 to 0 blowout just got a slap. The reality of it is, this team just isn't what they were it's time to get some realistic expectations. Are they going to win most of their games? Yes. (St. X will walk..) But it isn't going to be absolute stomps. There are some Highlands fans (Like LN who predicted that Withrow would come out and be better than most though and the score wouldn't be as bad) who ya'll should take a look at.
  13. lol because they only beat Withrow 21 to 0. There were many who were sure this was a 56 to 0 blowout. And St. X is..two weeks away. People will be in a frenzy.
  14. Wow. I mean I kind of saw this coming, but not 0 points for Manual.
  15. I think the players on the field had heart. If you saw their faces after their final game, and you saw them at their games, you'd know they gave it their all. Only so much they can do without a coach offering any support, and I'm sure you know he didn't. And I think the crazies had a lot to do with the coach, not so much the players. I mean the basketball team was AWFUL, but people still showed up for that. On top of it all, last years senior class was not spirited..
  16. No it's no problem at all, lol. YOUR comments aren't the ones I find immature or bothersome. I think you're right, and I like your enthusiasm for the new coaching staff.
  17. Alright, well I've got some homework to do as thrillng as this has been, BUT i'll leave you with this lol. You're totally correct, Zach had about 2 seconds every time he got the ball, but I still think they did okay at times. The team this year has struggled with their fair share of sacks as well. And their schedule was MUCH tougher last year, and by now they'd won over New Cath (who was good) and Dixie. I hope you're right and they do win over CCHS, but I also think you're underestimating CCHS and overestimating Lasalle.
  18. lol, I don't blame all of it on the coaches, but it's fair to say a goooood bit could be pointed in that direction. And really it just seems like you have a personal issue with Zach...not that he was bad, or had no leadership, and it might be time for you to grow up and move on...
  19. He started because Isler was hurt. Young wasn't getting the job done. Erpenbeck wasn't even Islers' backup. (although I do think he should have been). Regardless, I understand colonelnations' insistence on bringing up the past and constantly digging at my brother, but really it shouldn't be brought up. Ya'll should worry less about last year, and more about this year, seeing as they were 2-1 at this point...
  20. The last two years teams' had heart and more talent than this team, but they had no guidance or leadership through the coaching staff, and I'm sure you know how much that affects a teams overall play and demeanor. I'd be shocked if this team makes it to the 3rd round of playoffs, and a 5-5 schedule on top of that would indeed make Wirth in consideration for COY of the year consideration.
  21. WKUFan your positivism is a good attribute and you're a true fan for sure but if you can't see some pontentially bad bad blowouts in the future..eek. As for CCHS having more talent. I don't think they do necessarily. I just think they're a lot better than 14 points...
  22. What year are these RBs for Ryle? Pulice and the other one? That is crazy that they'll have Elliott and then these boys coming up the ranks.
  23. Wow, that is crazy. It didn't really hit me how big of a weekend it is lol. I wish all of these games were on tv. Can't make it to any of them. And i agree it'd be a good setup to play some games like this and then play the UC vs. Louisville game. Anyways, I'll go with an OH sweep.
