  1. I have made no excuse for Elliott, and if he did flick off a CovCath coach then he shouldn't have played and should have been disciplined. I had not heard of that incident. But anyone saying highlands is above all of this and that is just blind. Your kids are no different from the kids at any other school and they have taunted and ran their mouths just as bad and sometimes worse. I am positive of this. So both parties were wrong, that's it.
  2. Well the reason I said he wasn't need is not that NCC was awful, but rather than some kid named Powell stepped up big.
  3. Wow I'll admit, I though BC would do this and do it handily. Ryle is more and more looking like my favorite 6A team in NKY. Still haven't seen Conner though and I like West. Good to hear Quainoo with a TD!
  4. You seem like you may have been on the sidelines, possibly in uniform...posssssibly for Highlands? lol. In that case, then I can totally see why you're blaming everything on Ryle. And Ryle is likely blaming everything on you. It was both of you. Over and done.
  5. Well if you're using that logic, which is innaccurate anyways, but let us assume you're right. Ryle was the bad guy, Highlands just "answered the call". That is no excuse for Highlands dirty play and bad mouths. Two wrongs don't make a right, didn't your mom ever tell you that? In all seriousness though between Ryle and Highlands, it is pretty obvious which one has the reputation of dirty play/mouth preceding them. There was no innocent party last night, but you're kidding yourself if you're saying Highlands came in as angels. They didn't. From the beginning.
  6. I have no dog in the fight. And I obviously said that one of Ryles' players has a major issue to deal with as far as attitude and mouthing off. But according to MANY sources on the sidelines, who had a better vantage point than you or I I'm sure, Highlands was the initiator of the pile up that caused offsetting penalties, and was always putting in extra shoves and pushes in piles as well as making blatant late hits. Did Ryle have a couple? Yes. But at least Ryle fans are able to admit that it is an area of concern for a couple players. You have blinders on if you couldn't see the dirty play that Highlands brought in.
  7. Heard Simpson ended up not playing after the first couple series, and they didn't need him to be honest.
  8. :thumb::thumb::thumb: He needs to get his emotions in check though. Spends entirely too much time running his mouth. Granted, Highlands was doing far more than their fair sure of running their mouth and extra pushing and shoving...but Elliott is far too good to let that kind of behavior be the thing that ends up standing out about him. Like you said, he is 15 years old. It's insane and he will mature. But he is goign to be scary these next 3 years.
  9. No one is forgetting that and we all know how good Collinsworth is. But I sure would like to see Elliott as a kick returner/punt returner....and I'd like to see him on defense too...he sure likes to get physical.
  10. That is EXACTLY what I thought. Two totally different types of runners. Elliott is smash mouth, run you over. Collinsworth is fassst and cuts hard. Both are the top in NKY, obviously along with Simpson and Quainoo.
  11. I'm interested in what this says to you? Do you take this as Collinsworth being much much better, or the defense keying on Elliott successfully, or Elliott and Collinsworth producing similiar numbers may mean that both are just that good...
  12. By the way, I hope this doesn't bite him in the behind. That could spell bad things for SK. They need him.
  13. Thanks for the updates GT. I'll be interested in how Simpson does..since I am positive he isn't at 100%.
  14. Ouch. To me this signals a lot of trouble for, obviously, Beechwood, and CovCath as well. Dixie, I heard, looked real good.
  15. The person who says that his elbow is still hurt and will take him out of this season is correct. He probably did hurt his ankle, no doubt about it. But that isn't what is really going on. He made a mistake not getting his arm fixed last year when he had pretty much the whole year off. It will come back to bite him in the butt. And yes, he has def. been progressively worse since 2005. Hard facts.
  16. If Bolden is Colerains' coach, and i believe he is, I have heard nothing but good about him. My best friend, who is a reporter/recruiter/scout/whateversportstalentseekersare that works in NKY and Cincinnati says Bolden is one of the better ones out there and the boys on his team respond so well to him. I had family members there tonight, and I heard Colerain just has no passing game, which allowed St. X to swarm and pretty much look like the most perfect defense to ever be witnessed. They said Colerains' defense was really good, but that St. X just looked like the more prepared and better overall team. Massa didn't look very good, in their opinions, but he didn't need to as the running game was great. Whoever #4 is for St. X is apparently an absolutely stud and possibly only a sophmore!
  17. Exactly. Was Highlands the better team tonight? For sure. Was there such a huge gap between them? IMO no. Ryle shot themselves in the foot at key times.
  18. You can say this but ryle also shot themselves in the foot a couple times too. On my phone so not much detail right now but it wasn't just highlands domination by any means.
  19. In thinking about it, I'd have to think that LexCath's defense is around the level of Ryles', if not maybe worse. They gave up a fair amount of points last week. But obviously their offense can put up points, as they put up about 40 last week, and I can't imagine Whitley Countys' defense being much worse than Covcath's. This doesn't bode well for CovCath. I think it will be a score fairly similiar to what we saw last week. I'll go 28 to 7, LexCath.
  20. While I agree that CovCath is in for some big trouble, and admittedly haven't seen LexCath play, but Ryle was pretty darn quick offensively...
  21. No. I don't care if what he is saying is true. I am brutally honest at times and not everyone agrees with me. And I have no dog in the fight. But the mocking and disrespectful way with which he relays thats honest opinion is what I'm alluding to. Give your honest opinion, it is just more respected if you don't act snotty about it. It will "crack me up ha ha" IF in fact Ryle does come out and make this a heck of a game.
  22. I'm not trying to be mean, but it is Highlands fans that act like this that make other people root against them. Every school has them...but sometimes it gets a bit over the top..and I hope Ryle comes out firing
  23. I don't know who to consider the best in the state, especially with many who I think could be having not even played a game. I'm not yet sure that anyone can say Highlands is the best in the state either way though. It's way too early, and they only one their game 19 to 8. It is not like they blew anyone out of the water just yet.
