My surprise new player of the year:

Ben Maile 1st Base/Pitcher/DH (CovCath)

I didn't know Hunter Jones was only a Jr.

I hear that Hunter is not even returning to Bellevue next year.

Have heard the same thing for awhile. I was told he was heading to California to play year round baseball.

Count me in as hearing the same rumor. Wold be a tough loss for Bellevue. Hope it's not true and he sticks around his senior year.

I believe this may be a rumor of wishful thinking. He will be in Bellevue next year.

I'm not sure where you put him or who you would remove, but Lloyd's Dylan McGuire should deserve to be mentioned in this conversation somewhere with a chance to make this list.

Stansberry is a LHP.

Stansberry is a LHP.

You are indeed correct.

I then have to drop Smallwood and insert Roenker.

LHP Bret Stansberry (Dixie)

RHP Andy Roenker (Holy Cross)

Thank you Oscar!

Hunter Jones is not leaving Bellevue. That is a rumor that everybody starts, it was a rumor last year also. And he will also be the POY of the 9th region and I also think he could be named KY Mr. Baseball.

Senior year, maybe.

I personally think Conner Hempel is the most underrated player in the 9th. People know he's good but he has one of the smoothest swings I've seen at the high school level as a sophomore. He'll be special.

Next year is his senior year, right?

I agree he has a great swing. Hard to believe he is only going to be a Junior next year.

Woops. My fault. :sssh:
