Nice effort from the Colonels. Seems like we are seeing improvement every week.

The better team won, and quite honestly in the polls, the two teams need to flip flop. Campbell shouldn't be ranked, CovCath should be 7 or 8. Erpenbeck is still CovCaths' best weapon, was the better QB between him and Kremer. I liked the way Kremer stayed in the pocket and wasn't afraid of that, and I think there are times Erpenbeck needs to do that, but other than that Kremers' decision making is poor. Erpenbeck was just solid all around. It helped him that Connelly was bringing in pretty much every pass thrown to him tonight, it was definitely a good night for him. Schaeffer also ran well. The line held well. Overall CovCath looked much better, and was the better team. Campbell killed themselves on offense, especially when their defense made some big stops to keep them within one score but the offense just couldn't get it done. Congrats CovCath on your first win under Wirth :).

Congrats Coach Wirth on your 1st win. Definitely the right man for the job, and the pipeline is loaded coming up.

This could have been and should have been a lot worse. The Colonels now that they have that monkey off their back I think will play more penalty free football moving forward.

Solid game. Not great. CCH was the dominant team but didn't quite have it clicking offensively. Solid effort by the defense.

CC is one-dimensional and they're not really that strong at their one dimension.

Hats off to the CC folks. Great atmosphere. Great tribute before the game.

CC PA announcer. Really? Was it open mic night?

:ylsuper:Good to see the Colonels get one in the W column!

CC PA announcer. Really? Was it open mic night?

Yeah, that sounds like something I need to hear more about Clyde.

FIRSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSTTTTTTTTTTTTTT DOWN CAMPPPPPPPPPPBEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLL COUNTY... That was really annoying

The way Campbell dominated Ashland in their scrimmage really had me worried about this one...

Witty? Hmm.

Agreed. Negative 5 yards rushing lol. And their passing wasn't all that great. Kremer just made some bad decisions..

What theoldguy said in the prediction thread:

To win this game CovCath needs to do three things.

1) Not beat themselves

2) Not beat themselves

3) Not beat themselves

If you watched the LexCath and LaSalle games CovCath did as good of a job of beating themselves, as did LexCath or LaSalle did in beating them.

========================================================

The CovCath "D" did a better job than I thought they would and the only play that CovCath beat themselves on was the poor snap, but to me the play of the game was when the Camels were driving (on around the 35) with 4th and 5 and they had the QB quick kick the ball. The punt went a total of 10 yards. Just surprised the heck out of me they would punt there as it did the CCYFL coaches that were sitting near us!

For those who are wondering about the two missed PAT's and CovCath not going for a FG near the end of the first half, well the CovCath PK is a starter on the CovCath soccer team and the team is in Ashland playing a game!

BTW Clyde is correct, CovCath has to open up the offense to more than Erpenbeck running the ball.

Clyde is also correct about the Campbell Announcer? What gives?

BTW isn't there some kind of rule about bands playing while the other team has the ball?

The Campbell County band was practicing literally behind the end-zone that CovCath was driving to and they kept on playing even while CovCath was trying to snap the ball. Talk about a lack of sportsmanship.!

Now I have no problem with the band playing in the stands or even the fans screaming and yelling, but the band was quite literally right behind the end-zone.

Finally do the men in stripes understand at all what intention grounding is?

Congrats Coach Wirth on your first victory!

"Colorful, witty" = home team's perception

"annoying, overdone, distracting" = visitor's (and most everyone else's)perception
