I've heard rumors that this is Tom's last year, and that Dave Brossart will take over.

Does anybody know if this is true or have any thoughts on this...

Every year there are rumors it's his last year, and every year it isn't.

If it is, I'm sure he wouldn't want to get the heads of this years team, so this is pretty counterproductive to the Dixie team. Better to discuss after the season is over.

This rumor pops up every year as stated above. I don't foresee him leaving, but his kids are getting bigger, and he may want to spend more time with them.

The only thing I've heard regarding the coaching staff is that this might be Sorrell's last year.

He'll leave if he chooses to. Otherwise, I'd say no.

It's always Tom Spritzky's last year.

He'll leave if he chooses to. Otherwise, I'd say no.

Glad you told me that. Now I can sleep tonight.

Wait, he's back!

Wait, he's back!

No, no, no! That is clearly an imposter! THIS is the real (original) Captain!

Although, I kinda like your's better. :sssh:

Glad you told me that. Now I can sleep tonight.

My point is that if he's not back next year it won't be because he was fired. It will be his call.

It's hard to fire yourself. Isnt he the AD as well?

ADs don't really do the hiring and firing in high schools around here.

lol, well let's hope this all is just a rumor.

And as someone else said, probably isn't anything that needs to be talked about til the end of the season, since I'm sure players read this and don't need to worry about it at this point.

I think he's been on borrowed time for several years. The way 2009 is going, I can't imagine that Dixie won't give serious thought to making a change. Right now he just needs to keep his team from quitting during a rough stretch. They should still be a fairly easy #2 come playoff time.

Geez Clyde you can't catch a break, I got what you were saying.

Where is Dave Brossart now, anyways?

^The OC at Dixie.
