What is the new system?

Greenup will have a nice sized front line this season.

Conratulations to Coach Josh Hughes on his first career win. Hopefully the program will keep players out and continue to improve in the years to come.

This score is bad news for Russell. The Devils will be done before Turkey Day for the first time in a while.

I meant why would Russell play an Elliott or a Clark County? Russell-Bracken should be a very competitve game for both squads.

Holmes, GRC, Elliott, Scott County would make a great Saturday State Semi-final!

How will Pulaski try to stop the West Jess. Triple-Option?

Why matchup yourself up with a team that can pound you by 35-40 points??? Preseason scrimmages are to help prepare you for the season.

When and where does Newport play in their two preseason scrimmages?

Has Raceland ever won a regional tournament game on the boys side?

I would say Clark and Russell will have almost all of their players.

Rose Hill-Lewis County Russell-Bracken County Greenup County-Mason County Clark County-Elliott County What a lineup to say the least. The defending state chamiion in the Royals. Two top 5 teams in Clark and Elliott. Four teams with new head coaches. An always scrappy Lewis County team. Players like the Elliott County Five, Russ Middleton, UK recruit Vinny Zollo and the other Cardinal super sophs, fab frosh Terry from the Hill, talented Trey Williams from GC and many other solid players. What a night of hoops at the Fireplace the Tuesday before Turkey Day.

Hard to believe the shape that West Jess was in last year and to see where they are this year. Coaching makes a difference and Coach Wood should receive some votes for COY. This team was HORRRRRIBLE last year. One of the states best turn-a-round

Wing play football? That name sounds familiar...he is a good athlete I believe.

Henley is getting the job done in the COV. Congrats to Hen and his Bullogs

Morgan Co. does return some experienced players. Cameron Dunn, Mikie Fyffe, Tyler Adkins, Jared Smith, Colby Jones, Joel Nickell all saw extensive action last season. PG Tanner Roy will be a great spark plug for the Cougars. He is quick, can handle it well, and score. The Cougars will always be sound defensively with Coach Matthew Perry. Look for the Cougars to have 7-8 solid players, however, the Cougars won't have a great deal of players after that. Very inexperienced and shallow (in terms of numbers) Freshman and Sophomore classes have the Cougars scrapping for quality JV minutes. They are a middle of the pack squad that has a tough opening schedule to the season.

Are the fire trucks primed and ready after the Rams win tonight?

Will Raceland fill the visitor side bleachers?

I had a feeling this thread would turn over 200 posts. So, who do you guys think will win?

I agree for the players and coaches it may be just another big game but for the adults and alumni of Raceland this is their Super Bowl. No I am nowhere near Burnout. Raceland has a great program but the oldtimers would love to beat Russell in Russell's own backyard.

Russell does not have to play a flawless game. Just limit penalties and hope Raceland tries to go to the air a few too many times. This is Raceland's Super Bowl so maybe their high emotion will drain them. McGlone's teams never seem to ge too high or low and maybe that will play to their advantage.

I have heard WLGC will expand their pregame show tonight. The show will begin at 630 pm with some interviews with fans from both sides. Be sure to tune in.

You must WIN your way to the playoffs in my opinion. 4 team districts aren't the solution if the top 4 always go to the playoffs. The geography of some of these district are unreal and absurd to begin with.

Yes it is actually a KHSAA violation from what I have always been told.

I know Evan personally and he is beyond an outstanding young man. Both he and Ethan are top notch on the court and off the court. His basketball I.Q. level is among the best I have ever witnessed, especially in this area. His ability level is terrific and his mindset is perfect. They play the game hard 110% all the time. Again, congrats to Evan Faulkner and his college choice. Radford is getting a big time player and person. Would love to see Evan coach high school basketball someday.
