The gate money will go the EKC just like the gate money at Lewis. Lewis will still get concession money from the other games. Morgan County had several players who would not have been able to play due to the ACT.

This game will be played at RUSSELL high school at 2:00 PM on Saturday. It was moved because of the ACT Test being given that morning and affects several players. Great gesture by Russell AD Sam Sparks and Raceland administration as well to help these student-athletes. Should be a great game. Raceland is well coached by Scott Floyd and has some terrific players and a great athlete in Tyler Boyles. Morgan County has some athleticism and ability as well, the Cougars should also get the services of Jarrad Smith back for this game and should be a barn burner, much like last year's game. All of the rest of the EKC Showcase will be played at Lewis Co. High School. This is the only game affected.

Good analogy...Cougars play better when they are a trainwreck and play like hair is on fire.:laugh:

Can the young Devils pull off the upset?

I believe this was an upset...the Cougars were without another starter in Faith Slone last night because of an ankle injury and they were extremeley thin depth and experience wise...Freshman Brittany Stamper and Sophomores Monika McCowan and Tessa Henry played excellent, also Junior Shey Williams played very well. Eagle only had 4 points in the 1st half and exploded in the 2nd half for 23. A very good effor by Coach Brown's very young squad. They will have their ups and downs, but they are showing signs of progress and showed great poise after getting beat by 23 at Elliott in the previous game.

Not everyone is enamored with a high school team basically picking and choosing their team from all over the state. Obviously some on here like to jump on the bandwagon.

Morgan County Senior Leslie Eagle is closing in on Leigh Ann Kelly-Wireman's all time leading scorer mark. Leigh Ann is currently the leading scorer (boy's or girl's) with 1,881 points. Leslie is 192 points away going into tonight's game vs. Elliott County from the mark and accomplishment. Leigh Ann Kelly was a member of the 1993 regional runner up team.
