Greenup took the lead after a slow first few minutes and pretty much kept it the rest of the game. They looked great on defense. I am impressed with how conditioned they look! I am expecting great things!

Yes, in the first few minutes of the game they were slow getting started as they were not working the post and shooting mid range jumpers and 3's that were not falling. However, as the game progressed they worked the post more, where I thought they had an advantage and needed to stay all night. Hampton had a good game down low with a few put backs that picked up some momentum for the Musketeer's. After they were going to the post more, it opened up the mid range to outside game for the Musketeer's to where they were able to pull away for the rest of the game.

It was a great game, great way to kick off the season...except for running out of popcorn everything was perfect at the Greenhouse last night!

Why is Craft not starting? Oh wait I know, he had to come out late from football. He rebounded as well as anybody last night and was by far the most physical player on the floor.

Imo Craft isn't starting because Prater plays a little quicker and better defense. Nothing against Craft he's a good player that's just my opinion.

It doesn't matter who starts the game, it matters who finishes. Good Luck to GC the rest of the season.

I must agree its always who finishes. Getting hung up on who starts is an issue reserved for parents or bitter fans. I think 21 that coming "out late" is not the issue as Craft is a solid player and he will get more than his fair shake of minutes.

I don't think Craft outplayed any of the 5 that started, but you are right about his rebounding. I think the Musketeers looked pretty good for the first game. Congrats to GC!

The Devils played without their starting point guard. He will help them when he gets healthy. Congrats to GC and their coaching staff.

How did Russell play?

I thought Russell played well. I think they will continue to get better and probably be more of a contender in the 63rd than originally thought.
