  1. Congarts to all three young men. I am so happy to hear they signed. Would have loved to see them go to Hanover. That's my home town (even though I live in Madison now) Would have been awesome to see some of my extended Russell family... As always go :fire:
  2. I actually agree with you whole heartedly! :ylsuper:
  3. I truely feel sorry for the boys. It's going to be a long season.
  4. I recognize that! That's humor. jk Trinity easy.
  5. I see X winning but not with a running clock. Perhaps 35-7 IMO.
  6. St X 45-0 DJ Hall 95 yard interception return for TD.
  7. So glad I didn't drive 4 1/2 hours for that.
  8. I recognize that, that's humor....jk
  9. I saw Central play last night against St X. VERY athletic. #6 was a beast of a runner with break away speed. #1 has tons of talent but not great hands for a receiver. #7 QB also talented thows a decent ball. Overall I was impressed with how much talent they had. I was not impressed with their lack of discipline. Now thay were playing a team thats ranked in the top 30 or so in nation. But by the end of the game central wanted nothing to do with the physical nature of the game. IMO if central doesn't self destruct and get beat before the state title game, Russell and/or Belfry will beat them because of their hardnosed style. I don't know anything about Breathitt but my guess would be that they would also be more physical than central.
  10. You may very well be right. However, IMO it's just too close to call. Belfry has the solid offense and steller Defense. Breathitt seems to have a steller offense. Not sure about their Defense. Mason seems to just be solid on both sides of the ball. Russell has a very good offense but their defense seems to be very suspect. All in all, 3A is a really fun race just to get to Louisville!!! I'd say even odds...just MHO.
  11. Did we kick it short on purpose? Please tell me we didn't have a bain fart...!!!!
  12. Will the game be webcast at all? Wanted to come in to watch it but won't be able. Too bad it was going to be my only chance to see the devils this season. Only way now is for them to make state. So, boys get to and win state!!! Go Devils...:fire:
  13. I think the two people who were involved in the discussion were handling. No need for any outside interference....
  14. By that logic you're then saying that St X Cincinnati should be thankful to Trinity for still being ranked #1 in the country because Trinity lost to them? Talk about not buying.... When Trinity was ranked high in the polls did they have St X to be thankful for? No! They got there by beating whoever was on their schedule. They worked hard and deserved the credit. Now it happens that St X is highly ranked because they beat who was on their schedule. Period. Ultimately, the rankings mean nothing. It's just something to feel good about. The real ranking will come in December. Until then, good luck to all. I sure hope it's St X, but that's why they play the games.... Once again, Congrats to all the faithful St X fans, players, faculty, & coaching staff!! You deserve it! Now go play one game at a time.
  15. Trinity did nothing to get St X to where they are. By saying such a thing you are taking away from all the efforts of the players & caoches THIS year. We're not talking about five of the last six years. If you want to discuss that, start a new thread. If Trinity had won the game and were reanked so high nationally, would you be saying St X helped them get there? Geez, give credit where credit is due. The boys work hard. Both St X and Trinity players. Both programs are awesome! Having two great programs in the state like that helps EVERY kids in Kentucky. And quite honestly, thats what I care about. More than the silly bickering between some St X and Trinity fans trying to one up each other all the time. Focus on the kids! Congrats all St X coaches, players, & especially big 'ole #76. You're the man & I'm proud of you!!! :dancingpa
  16. I can honestly say. A lot of the saint X and T fans (not all) could take a lesson on how to behave in a way that shows EXCELLENT team support but is not personal. Way to go all Belfry and Russell fans. :ylsuper:
  17. Why is it so hard for people to to give credit to people when they perform well? I would actually be embarrased if the kids from either school were to read some of the post attacking coaches, players, or anyone who see's things differently from ourselves. X and T are both awesome! T has had some success over the last few years. All of these things run in cycles. All I'm saying is that we need to behave the way we'd like our kids to behave....like adults. It was a great game. X won. T has more state titles than X, bothh overall and in recent history. Hopefully, we'll see both teams again in December but the rest of the state will have something to say about that. Congrats to all the players, coaches, and fans from BOTH schools. It was a great game...
  18. IMO I think this teams needs to readless of the press and concentrate on whats going on on the field. I've watched them grow up since sixth grade. It has always been the same. A ton of talent, just a moody bunch of kids. HOPEFULLY, they will learn that they have a target on their back and they have to learn to play up to their potential an entire game. Then, they will learn to take it up a notch further.
  19. What do you mean nothing to show for it? Did he not get scholarship offers? Excuse my ignorance, I'm just not sure what you meant.
  20. Man, I love those red devils!!! Glad to see the boys doing well. Miss watching games at Ivan McGlone field.
  21. Personally, I loved the Jumbo set. Thought we should have used it last year in the state title game and just crammed the ball down Mercers throat. I think jones being there is great but they had better have other plays in that set. Don't want to tip our hand too much...
