highschoolsportsfan Posted November 4, 2007 Posted November 4, 2007 Russell will be the favorite, obviously, they are the #1 seed. Can the Raiders pull off an upset? Is Russell primed to make their 3rd straight appearance in the championship game? It all starts November 9th at Henry R Evans Stadium and Ivan McGlone Field.
farawaycomet2 Posted November 5, 2007 Posted November 5, 2007 We know East can play good D. The question is whether they can score points. East failed to score more than 15 points in seven of their games this season. A big offensive night could put the Raiders over the top.
Cubster Posted November 5, 2007 Posted November 5, 2007 Just remember November has been the month of the Red Devil lately.
16th62nd Posted November 5, 2007 Posted November 5, 2007 Not so Fast my friend!! I believe the Raiders can keep this one close, Russell is good, but not as good as the last couple of years. If East can take care of the football, this one may just surprise some folks. Teams just don't seem as intimidated as they have in the past when playing the devils. Good luck to both teams!!!

I agree to an extent, but East doesn't have the fire power to stay with Russell for four quarters. A decent Russell team is still three TD's better than an average East Carter team. The road gets alot rockier after this one.
Knute Rockne Posted November 6, 2007 Posted November 6, 2007 Just remember November has been the month of the Red Devil lately. I believe Belfry looks to be the team to beat this year-IMO- they have been dominating people.
REDDEVILMVP'06 Posted November 6, 2007 Posted November 6, 2007 Russell takes care of business and has no problem with raiders this time around at Henry R. Evans Devils-35 East-10
redevil78 Posted November 6, 2007 Posted November 6, 2007 This first game represents a good chance for the Devils to shake off the bye week and work on execution and fundamentals. I would like to see the special teams squad come out and play with a lot more attitude. This year's version lacks the headhunter aggressiveness that was so apparent last year. It's the playoffs guys, it's in your house, so come out and take control early! :fight: Russell 45 East Carter 13
RedX Posted November 6, 2007 Posted November 6, 2007 East Carter 20 Russell 14  I recognize that, that's humor....jk
