Yep, the boy can play. Hope the ankle is better.

They'll need Tyler Jones healthy after the first round,may need him in first if East comes ready to upset.

He could barely move the first time these teams played. Only a few plays on defense and that was mostly for leadership. Hopefully the week off has given that ankle time to heal up a little bit.

Wow you are ever so right. Trends do end. I can't remember the last time Ashland did not make the playoffs. Especially when KHSAA has set it up so that almost everyone makes it. I'm sure Russell will have it's turn. I hope it's not soon.

If the district alignment stays the same when do you ever not see Russell making the playoffs. The feeder system will not allow it.

Had over 60 5-6 year olds playing flag football this fall.

Russell by a bunch. 41-8

 

This group of Russell seniors (those that played as freshman) have been on Russell teams that are 49-5 over the last 4 years. They've played 10 playoff games in the last two seasons. That is just like an extra season. I'm not trying to make a particular point, just noting a point about the playoff experience.

Talent will always go up and down. Keeping the number of players up is the key to tradition. Kids comming up and wanting to play football has been a huge factor to Russell's success.
