  1. You can say that about any High School game. If Eastern hits their 3's they win the KOB
  2. Agreed. If you bring a youngster to the game, you don't want to sit behind the Jtown bench.
  3. Clyde my man you do talk in circles. I will try to keep this simple. The 1st team player listed as an athlete is Flo Hardin. Flo was listed under the defensive catagory. He is a very good football player. Jon Davis listed as 2nd team athlete was listed on offense. Why? If you want to compare stats, productivity and/or college potential there is no comparison. Jon would rank higher in all of the above. Defenses schemed for him. He did not have DeVonte Parker there to attrack double teams. Ask any team that Jon played against. I'm guessing that he could start and produce for any one of them. I hope that this addresses your many criteria.
  4. Well Mr. Sophisticated, sorry that I don't meet your standards, just commenting on how flawed voting is. One school had two 1st teamers yet won one playoff game. I guess numbers don't equal success. IMO Jon could have started on ANY team in this state. Too bad kid didn't get recognition that he deserved. Once again CLYDE, JOKE!
  5. One word JOKE, these guys call themselves experts. How does Jon Davis not make 1st team? Let me see, ESPN top 150, Offers out the WAZOO, plays both sides of the ball, 4 time all district in arguably the state's toughest district. Voted onto the Best of the Bluegrass all star team so on and so on. Yet, because of the need to vote for your buddies kids the better player suffers. No disrespect to any first teamer but Jon would have been a better choice than most. He is deciding his college future( Schools in power conferences) while some of these guys are sifting between offers from NAIA and DIII schools. Sad that coaches trade their votes with their buddies. Some well deserving kids really get the shaft. Now I see why football is the red headed step child in this State. Maybe, we should ask Coach Philips or Coach Strong if Jon is 1st team. JOKE
  6. Again, was he nominated by his coach?
  7. Did Beatty nominate him, or anyone else from Trinity?
  8. I consider myself lucky to have had the opportunity to watch some very good football players this year. I reside in the Louisville area and can only speak of the kids that I have seen play. First and foremost the talent level in this senior class is pretty remarkable. Fern Creek will graduate 3 Division 1 players, Ballard has 2 that I know of, Eastern also graduates 2 and Seneca has 2. These guys were impressive and will represent the area well. With that being said you couldn't go wrong with any of these guys for Mr. Football. For what its worth my top 5 Louisville seniors in no particular order. Smith(Seneca) throws 70+ yds effortlessly, Parker(Ballard) Great size, speed, and hands. Davis(Eastern)played RB/LB, Projected TE in college rarely left the field. Moore(Fern Creek) pure grace wih the ball. Hardin(Ballard) hard nosed 2 way player. Just my thoughts. Any one of these guys are worthy of Mr. Football consideration.
  9. Doesn't this post just ooze class?
  10. So, let me get this right, two ADULTS from opposing teams have a conflict, one Adult makes a statement by having his team rub it in the face of the other Adult? What happened to doing what is best for the kids? The ADULTS can settle their beef somewhere else. My question is, Is this how Trinity wants to be represented? Not sure that the school was built on these ideals. In Theology class do they teach the kids to kick others while they are down? Seems this idealogy is a little different than I remember it. Good Luck vs. St. X!
  11. I fear that yesterday may have been the beginning to the end of Seneca's season. IMHO they will be hard pressed to win another game Ballard by at least 20
  12. Great kid! Hard worker, Bradley got a good one. Don't be surprised if you hear about one more player getting a D1 offer this year at Eastern
  13. Any news on results from the other games?
  14. 131 yds on 17 carries and 2 tds. Not too bad
  15. Spring football dates need to coincide with the dates that college coaches are allowed to visit. This would greatly improve the visibility of Kentucky players. Afterall, most basketball kids are eyeballed during AAU.
  16. Congrats! Great kid. He really works extremely hard. Tremendous team player. Probably would be a stud on a lesser team.
  17. First of all, I wouldn't feel too sorry for him because he loses a year of High School BB. I'm sure that he will be full throttle on the AAU circuit. He could have went to Eastern, Manual or Ballard and paid a whole lot less in tuition. I know that these schools offer as good if not better academic programs as Trinity. Just my two cents worth
  18. They also have the advantage of not having Trinity or X in their district.
  19. Congrats go out to the four Kentucky High School Football Players nominated to the 2011 U.S. Army All Star Game(per Courier-Journal). Jon Davis (Eastern) DaMarcus Smith (Seneca) Darrian Miller (Bryan Station) Lamar Dawson (Boyle County) Good Luck in the selection process, hope you all make it to San Antonio!

Only game in town(BYE week for UL)
  21. Eastern was a notch below! Both games decided 2 pts!:ohbrother:
  22. Not a big T fan, but seriously, kid won MVP in 3 tournaments. 7th region is tough and now Ballard's to win.
  23. Sk-Kid gotta agree with you. Don't see why you need a survey to fix a communication issue. AD gets both parties in same room, hash things out, communication problem solved. The fact that the administration felt they needed to address the survey would lead me to believe that the parents have a unwarranted amount of say in the program. C-Mike you make some good points regarding the rich history of SO athletics. But, they seem to put a huge onous on soccer. Last I heard Football program pays a usage fee on their game field and the Football program spends the least amount of time on the game field. (don't practice on it).Doesn't seem condusive to building a winning tradition. JMO
  24. Saturday night at Easstern. Ballard currently #1 in LIT ratings vs Eastern currently #2 in LIT ratings. Thoughts?
