If I recall correctly,3 subs played in the 1st half but only because 2 starters had a little foul trouble. Then I think 2 played in the 2nd half until they cleared the bench for the final 3 with a little over 1 minute to go in the game.

If someone does offer him his height will go a long way in someone making that decision. They will have to be thinking they can put about 30 lbs on him because that is what it will take for him to play D-1. Very nice player,great shooter but one of the skinniest kids I have ever seen.

Old School Dr. you had me convinced Cumberland was going to be in the hunt for the All A State Title.

Lex H-L yesterday had his coach saying he is not hearing from any D-1 schools & Coach Runyon could not understabnd that. Especially why instate schools like EKU or WKU are not recruiting him.

Another big upset, the 13th Pineville over Cumberland, 16th RH over Elliott & now 15th, 3 teams expected to at least be in the championship game of their regions fall early.

Just to pat myself on the back I made the statement more than once on BGP even before the season & back in the summer - PG! PG! PG!, Leadership is where Scott Co will be hurting.

I see one kid on here who is not even playing this year, but I am glad to see he is listed. That said he did not play AAU this past summer, probably does not have career double digits in any category but maybe points. Go figure!

Congrats to Lewis Co on a good win. Its difficult to imagine a 3A school such as Russell not producing any more talent than this for basketball. They had a great class last year but you would not expect such a drop off.

That is for the coaching staff to figure out & I'm very positive they absolutely make little effort to do this!

This looks a little more the way I would go at this time of the season except I would slide Johnson up to #7, add Jackson at #8, Sparks #9 Hall #10. I have never been a big believer in Selby being that high.

Bogeyman are you really surprised about the lack of effort to post up the smaller guard? I'll give the benefit of the doubt & say maybe the staff set it up but it didn't get executed? If so they should have called a timeout & demanded it be executed.

Absolutely! Without a doubt by the time they are finished with their careers. I see 3 All A State Championships & 2 possibly 3 State Championships! The D1 recruits will not end with Euton & Jackson but I can see at least 2, possibly 3 others going D1.

Your book from last year must be from the Girls All A because I could have sworn I sat there & watched EC get beat by Paintsville, or should I say get beat by their own coaching. It was definitely one of the worst coached games I have ever seen!

They also beat 2 teams in the top 12 & only lost to another J'town by just a few. Very difficult to understand.

I don't think so, but now that you mention it, that might not be a bad idea!

What a silly comment! No obviously I would not be ok with it! If it is called or not is the issue! How can you say that? If the refs start making the call then the coaches would not be teaching this (that is if they are), because obvioulsy a foul would be called against their team! If the refs are aware they are not doing their job! Maybe the assigning secretary needs to be aware of it & make it a so called "point of emphasis" thay we hear about each year! So I do not think I am barking up the wrong tree just barking up any tree that will listen to get something done about this before a kid is seriously hurt!!!!!

Thanks for everyones responses. I am not asking this to gripe but I'm just wanting to know your thoughts, the correct ruling along with bringing attention to this before some kid is seriously hurt due to something that is so preventable. Please try to make others aware especially if you have any ref friends. I'm very concerned some kid at some point is going to pay a heavy price if not.

A kid shoots a jump shot,(a 3 most likely) but before he comes down the "D" turns to block out & backs into him before he comes down which most of the time knocks him down. Why is this not a foul? How is this any different than a kid shooting a layup & the "D" moves under him trying to take a charge which is called a foul most of the time? How is it any different when a foul is called as the "D" goes out to defend the shot & makes contact as the shooter is coming down or while he is in the air? I brought this up last year as I think it is very dangerous & may tear up an ankle, knee or leg but if the refs are calling it they can stop it. The shooter has absolutely no where to come down! I had not seen it as bad this year until this past week & it was done every single time so I do not know if the "D" was that well coached as to block out that good or was it just the coach teaching this against this particular team trying to get in the shooters mind as a tatic to disrupt the shooter. "Kind of dirty pool if you ask me" It needs to be called by the ref before someone is seriously hurt.

Between 4 Assistants and a Stat guy on the bench, plus the scorekeeper there is absolutley no reason this should happen! It ends up being a 1 point game & something like this easily could cost a team a game.
