Is there a link for the list??

Who does the nominating? Because I see some nice players on here, but many aren't even good enough to be 1st/2nd/3rd team all state.

This is for the boys nominees only.

The initial list of potential names is gathered by Sports America, Inc., which has worked with McDonald's in connection with the McDonald's All American Game since it was founded in 1978. Names are submitted by members of the Selection Committee as well as state representatives who religiously follow the prep scene in their areas. In addition, Sports America subscribes to every major basketball publication and is read very

carefully by its staff to ensure that some deserving players are not overlooked. Many rising seniors make this list based on an excellent junior year or for having an outstanding summer participating in summer camps and AAU tournaments. There is no set number of how many players can be nominated throughout the country. Traditionally, the final total is between 1,500 to 1,800 for boys and 900 to 1,200 for girls.

Is Edmons, or Edmonson, from University Heights not a senior? He would have to be above a TON of these players.

I'd say that one or two of these boys have a chance at making the final team. My guess is that they won't take 2 from the same state, unless there is just that much talent. But I think one of these guys has a shot!

my picks

Only Miller & Hopson have a real shot at being picked. They are by far the two highest profile players in Kentucky.

Receiving a nomination, for McDonald's All-American is a tremendous honor and an outstanding accomplishment.

Being selected, is extremely prestigious and includes the best/of the best. Congratulations to all the players mentioned.

I see one kid on here who is not even playing this year, but I am glad to see he is listed. That said he did not play AAU this past summer, probably does not have career double digits in any category but maybe points. Go figure!

I'd say Miller will go, he has probably the highest profile in Kentucky.
