Henderson is a great athlete & high school player but what position would you suggest he play? I do not think he is a point gaurd, 2 or 3 gaurd, especially in the SEC. To small for the other 2 positions. No matter what position he would play it would be in a 2nd or 3rd back up roll as much the same with Stepp. Not saying that Stepp could play there either but Stepp could play the 1 a few minutes a game. Both if they want to play would be better off at a smaller school whether it be lower D1 or whatever. Best of luck to both of them they are good kids.

Congrats to Elliott Co on defending their 16th Region title & another visit to Rupp. I was surprised by the margin & how Elliott just completely controlled the game. Congrats to Ethan on a very deserving MVP for the 2nd straight year. T.Knipp or Maynard could have possibly earned it also with their play. Knipp really stepped up during the region, accepted his role & played like an All-Stater. Maynard, I do not know what you want to call him, "The Championship Assassin", "The Bomber" the ADI this morning called him "Mr Big Time" that last three was from his front porch! For East they had a great year & Coach Baker really brought them along. I have became a huge fan of Drew Johnson over his career, best of luck to him. Good luck EC in the "Sweet 16"

The difference maker is "Miller" with him it would be one of the all time upsets if Elliott would pull it off. Without him Elliott wins, they have just as much if not more weapons than Mason! I know I have watched both groups for a number of years. That said Mason will have Miller so as I said he is the differnce maker.

I would have loved to seen this one.

Exactly, he does no coaching so why would I think he would take the effort to blow his whistle to make any calls!

I'm sure the rest of the Elliott faithful wanted to shake their heads at the same time. When each were taken out EC was getting ready to go back on offense so why not leave them in & try to get them out on the next defesive end. I'm positive neither were in foul trouble. Another question why is Maynard not starting or getting more minutes? Its obvious he gives them a lot & has really played well. When he is on the floor the defense opens up so much more for everyone else & now that they finally have Timmy Knipp understanding how valuable he is inside on the "O"& how well he plays there things would open up more.

Good choice he really brought this team along this year. Congrats to Coach Baker

I disagree, East uses a lot of bumping, pushing & elbows when someone comes across the lane or flashes to the middle or post. Bonner from Ashland took a beating last night. Elliott probably shoots more FT's than most teams simply because they put up more shot attempts with a lot of them coming from offensive rebound put backs that usually drwws fouls.

East in a close one. 2 Reasons 1. COACHING 2.Officiating Elliott is automatically down 12 at the start as they are each game due to coaching & will have to dig themselves out as usual. Plus what game plan Baker will bring tonight gives East an even bigger advantage in this one. Officiating definitely favors East as the officials let the rough stuff go & calls the ticky-tack junk.

To use an old saying "that may be the understatement of the year" Join the rest of the Elliott crowd on this one!

Couldn't give Coach Mayes that whistle because nothing would be called as it is all he can do trying to coach his team!

Thats the way the whole tourney has been called. Get clobbered underneath & no calls, then a touch ticky-tack foul will be called. Terrible job by the officials in both games last night.

I'm sure the 16th will be glad to give them back to you next year! They stunk up the court last night in both games!!! Just horrible, horrible officiating. You get hammered underneath or elsewhere on the court & nothing is called with the ref stand rignt beside the play. Then they call little ticky-tack touches out on the floor. I'm afraid tonights game will be decided by some bad calls by the officials.

Congrats to Rowan, It was a great game & lots of fun to watch.Both teams were well coached & prepared & also played really hard. Congrats to Ashland you have a really good team. These teams had so much fight in them I cannot begin to say how much I enjoyed this one.

Ricky P, so you can stop worrying so much they have a freshman on the JV he is something like 6'4" well over 200 & I think this is the best they could do itf that were their intentions. Sorry no one else 6'8" but that was the best they could do.

I agree 100% the 16th already has to much slow down ball. Let the kids play, it can be structured & not be stall ball.

I spoke to one of the players & no one was brought in, they just used one of the bigger bodies there to assume the role. If you have played any organized sports you know what I am talking about where someone has to be the other teams best player etc.. much like the scout team QB has to do. Hope it was helpful.

Seems everyone exept the Elliott faithful are predicting Rose Hill. I assume that is being based on the ALL A game & that is understandable. However when I watched both teams play in the 1st round I asked myself how in the world did RH beat EC ? So tonight will be fun & very interesting.

What about the big kid ? I think his name is Garrison? Where does he live & or where is he most likely to transfer to if JBS closes?

Timmy Knipp had a tremendous game last night. He just dominated inside & it was really pretty to watch as he would take his move or pass to the outside to Maynard & others for a good look. This is what a little inside out etc.., can do. I thought Elliott had all the material to do this all year & really take advantage of other teams but evidently it was never a part of their game planning.

From what I saw of Greenup lst night they are much improved both as a team and individually. It seems the present coach has done a really good job. I was impressed.
