Lincoln County v West Jessamine (12th Region Finals)

Featured Replies

Winner gets the 8th Region Champ in the opening round of the Sweet Sixteen at Rupp Arena.

Lincoln County won the regular season game 55-49 on December 15, 2007.

This will be an interesting matchup for the two teams.

Lincoln County won the 12th Region last year before losing in the Sweet Sixteen to Adair County in the opening round.

Who wins this one?

I'll think we'll be seeing the red and blue back in Rupp! Lincoln by 12.

In the first match-up (Young, Keeton, Owsley and Gilbert) were all still getting in basketball shape. They had not played many games, because of the success of the football season.

LC is in better shape right now than they have been all season. Ethan Spurlin appears to finally be over the mono, and IMHO he is the key to LC.

West will try to play "stall ball" and limit the possesions, but in the end I think the Pats will find a way to get it done. This team, led by three seniors who all have over one thousand points, and poised to be the first team to repeat as 12th region champs since Boyle County did it in 1998-1999. One ironic tidbit is that Boyle County team was led by Derrick Springate, who is now a coach at West Jess.

That's who that was on West's bench. I thought he looked familiar but I couldn't place him. I'll take Lincoln to repeat 62-54.

I will be pulling for West but Lincoln flat out has more talent. Lincoln by 8.

I am pulling for Lincoln & they should take this one by 8-15.

Lincoln Co. 63-50.

Lincoln Co by 10, 58-48.I will be there for this one.You can look for me in the senior citizen section.:D;)

Calling the upset..... West by 5. Lincoln always struggles against Robert and the Colts!

Under Par?! I'm shocked:sssh: A West win would surprise me, but I think Lincoln has too much for the Colts.

Lincoln Co. by 7 62-55 for there first back to back trip to the big dance in school history I think. Mr. Network is there any other time in school history that they may have done this. GO Pats GO.
