sidelinecoach replied to Wireman's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
I do no know of another set anywhere in the state. These two are the best and a lot of fun to watch. -
Early Candidates for Mr. Basketball
sidelinecoach replied to mooremiller31's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
A very good player & great kid who will be good NAIA player but IMO has been the most over rated player in the state the last 3 years. This is not a knock on him as I said he is a very good player but not near the recognition. Thanks MR. Miller & Mr Setty! -
I am looking for some help or contacts for girls 12U from anyone in the 16th region area. Looking to get a 12U 10U team started so we need to know about any teams, tournaments, leagues in our area.

What about Shelby Valley? At least 2 impressive wins so far & I believe they did beat J'town last year & return most everyone this year. -
Shelby Valley 86 Walton, GA 65

Very impressive win ! Playing this schedule will definitely prepare them for a long run in the post season. -
Kentucky Report: Top 40 Players in KY (2009)
sidelinecoach replied to Eta Rho's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
Evan Faulkner way to low ! I Counted 10 guards whether they are a 1 or a 2 that he should be rated ahead of. I'm sure shooterx3 would agree. -

Best Point Guard in the state?
sidelinecoach replied to Log Mountain Boy's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
Shooterx3, How easy these comments get off track from the original topic. Just as you say Jackson is a very versatile & gifted player but the topic is the best point guard in the state this year & it is hands down Ethan Faulkner!Jackson will most likely play at a higher level in college due to athletic skills but a PG isn't necessarily about athletic ability especially in high school. Ethan just wins ! -
Smallest Counties in KY
sidelinecoach replied to Lion Mania's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
Enjoyed this topic, great job Lion Mania. One interesting county is Pike which is very large as far as square miles but not so much in poulation. At one time not to long ago I think they had something like 10 high schools with Belfry being 3A at the time, Johns Creek 2A with 8 A schools. Since consolidation I think it is now 4AA schools & 2 single A schools. -
I am glad to hear the kid is eligible as I do not like to see any kid in high school miss out on a whole year. I have said this before kids in Northern Ky bounce around like a hot potatoe. Do any of them ever get ruled ineligible?
-
If you think he is I wouldn't want you recruiting for me! He is a good player but not to their level at this time.
-
I agree with most everyones top 5 & I will also say the same thing I said last summer regarding Scott Co.,if Jackson is not eligible. "Point Gaurd, Leadership & mental toughness". Without Jackson I see the same point gaurd issues, though I do think Phares will be more of a leader than anyone from last years class & the prime contributors will be more mentally tough.

BGElite, I'll go ahead & let the cat out of the bag for you for this upcoming season. We know you cannot stand Elliott Co, any small school, or any team east of Winchester. You have been instigating this for 2 years so we all know what your motive is here. Though I was shocked to see where you had recently bragged on Shelby Valley a bit. Which is definitely one team to look out for this season, especially if the Newsome kid makes a good come back from major knee surgery.

State AAU tourneys next weekend

Who is on Team Ky roster this year? I was hoping to get to Lex to watch them & the rest of the teams this weekend but family obligations came first. -
SV's Justice to Arkansas?
sidelinecoach replied to HazzBeen's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
Wrong guy, I know for sure he does not play with them just maybe thought you saw him playing for someone else. It couldn't be his high school teamate Ashley Hatfield who does play for DS 16's but he is a legit 6'5" if not 6'6" with some gaurd skills & he may support a little fade of a beard sometimes. -
