Elliott County 86 Mason County 71

Watching on TV I was surprised that it seemed Mason was running out of gas in the 2nd half. -
Elliott Girls Team

How long has the Coach been there, three Years? It sure seems he has done a good job from developing the players, playing a really tough schedule & willing to go on the road to play these teams. It seems to me he sure deserves a lot of credit & may be coach of the year in the 16th. -

What about #3 teams getting bat by 27 points? Manual dusted by Montgomery by 27! -
Montgomery County 69 Manual 46

I don't think so because I think MC will dominate again, Manual is overrated. They have athletes as you would expect but they lack overall basketball players. Manual should probably be around 9-10 range as far as rankings. MC sounds like they should definetly be top 3. -

I think at least three of them were 3 or more feet beyond the arc! They also hit a few in transition, not exactly where you expect someone to pull up & shoot. It was just an unbelievable shooting performance. I know Martin hit one about from at least 25 ft! Hats off to LCA as this was the best girls performance I may have ever witnessed. A really good team & a lot of fun to watch. -

Very nice win for MC. I have seem Manual & LCA & to me LCA is the much better team. Didn't MC beat LCA earlier in the year? -

Congrats to SV. I cannot understand how ER does not put together a more solid club aeach and every year. The three schools that consolidated seemed to have had better success. What has happened? -

Surprising score & the fact the game was as close throughout as some of you have mentioned. Even considering the fact that GRC just came off the big emotional win over Mason I would have though they would have maintained a larger lead throughout & won by more considering how APB is struggling. Shows the marks of a good team to come back so soon & win on the road like this after their big win against Mason. Congrats to the Cards. -

Seems EC coaching staff going to the bench more & earlier in the games since the All A state. I think I've notice subs in the 1st & 2nd Q's & not just wholesale subbing because of a big lead. Situational subbing like they should have been for the last three years. It seems the big Ison kid is finally getting the minutes he should have been getting since last year & not just mop up minutes. Seems they are finally trying to develop their bench. The only thing is I hope it isn't to late especially since losing the Nichol kid to season ending injury last week. -

Does that surprise you? I wasn't at either games you mentioned but we all know where lack of preparation falls from. I have seen this happen many times but fortunately the talent carries itself thru the 16th region. As we all know it is a little more difficult for the talent alone to carry itself outside the region. -
He is a good player & a good ball handler but IMO that is also one of his problems. He dribbles way to much! He also forces things more than I would like to see from a lead guard or point guard.

Eta, you & BigSpikes kept saying you were waiting for a reply from post 67 & there wasn't anything from that post to acknowledge or reply about. As far as post 66 & 82 - not being sarcastic, again I do not see anything that warrants a reply, sorry. Look I agree Holmes would most likely beat Elliott 7 out 10 times if not more but I just get tired of the constant negativity from the EC bashers. True they haven't won a big game especially in state tournament & true their schedule needs a lot of work as I have been saying for 3 years but that does not deny the fact they are a very good team. Not well coached at all, but a very good team thanks primarily to talent in the top 5. Definetly a top 5-7 or 10 team. My comments are not manly of EC but for any team especially the small schools & especially the EKY schools. True the track record of such schools is not there, which leads to the skepticism from others but occassionally these schools put together teams that can compete. Outside fans always look at the history of these type of situations & not the situation of that particular team when judging them. Not only does this reflect of EC this year & the past three years but also Shelby Valley. Even though SV had played a better schedule the last few years they still did not get any true respect until winning the ALL A. Remember there was a Paintsville team of the not to distance past that won the "Big Show" -

Well there goes Scott Co's trip to Myrtle Beach next year for the BBC. They make this trip every other year so I'm sure they will not go now. It has lost all its prestige per Big Spikes. Sorry Scott Co look for some warm weather somewhere else next year! -

Big Spikes, I do not think Coach Mayse had anything to do with who was playing in the BBC this year so your argument doesn't hold water there. Try again! -

Looks like two weak opponets in the videos. I assuming these were big wins & especially against that weak out of state opponent! -

They may not, but something will be said. Maybe something like - They couldn't beat them on a neutral court. -

I see a definite win against Ballard on the 14th! Everyone on Ballard's team will be car sick after the drive from Morehead to Sandy Hook. -
:confused:I just don't understand how Rowan Co. can be 14 after beating the #2 team.

So they are also held accountable here for the weak opponent! Something completley out of their control!
