What players will make all-state this year?....Also who will be Mr.Basketball?

Just looking at seniors I would say the main candidates for all state are:

 

Jon Hood

Richie Phares

Vee Sanford

Russ Middleton

Wesley Cox

Darrin Ballou

Charles Ashford

3 Elliott Co. boys

Prince Stewart

CJ Penny

Jacob Jenkins, barring injury, would have won Mr. Basketball this season. There's no doubt in my mind that had he been healthy was the state's top player. There's still time left for this young man to state his case.

Unfortunately politics will probably keep anyone but Jon Hood from winning it.

Hood has put up some amazing numbers despite being double and tripled teamed every night since his teams offense virtually runs through him every single play. So to say politics will completely give it to him is false. He has the stats and the national prestige (in terms of ranking) to win the award.

This is just your opinion, I realize this, but I just don't see Euton making either the 1st or 2nd all state teams.

Hood will win Mr. Basketball. He's the best senior in the state.

 

As far as All-State goes, I'd say from nky, Jamel Riley of Holmes would be the only senior to get nominated.

If juniors are mentioned as well, I'd assume both Pittman and R. Johnson of Holmes would be somewhere on the lists, especially if Holmes makes a deep post season run.
