I agree. IMO Guyn has the most potential on that SC team. He is in the same boat as Pittman of Holmes. Scores 20+ one night and the next he scores single digits. One thing I can say about both players though, is both show up in big games which is the true testament of a great player.

 

Hopefully kids like Guyn, Pittman, and others like Hopson before them learn to mature and show up for EVERY game - at some point in their career.

I have yet to see Hopson show up for a game and play hard. :lol:

Just because a player was honorable mention as a soph and 2nd team as a junior, doesn't mean they should automatically be 1st team as a senior.

 

I hate to bring this up, but would he still have the same numbers and that many wins playing against better competition? Not trying to bash him, as I really like him, but it's a legit argument and question.

Here we go again!! You turn every thread into this! Why would you post something that is so far off base? He averages 16.9 shots a game and 25.2 points! That is a 1.49 shooting index which would be considered fantastic! He shoots 54.7%!!!

 

He puts up big numbers every summer also against great competition!!

 

He only averages about 20 min a game in the 16th so his numbers could be a lot bigger!!!

 

Why couldn't you just let the guy who posted his opinion about Ferg have his opinion and leave it alone???

 

I have watched your team as many times as you have mine and I dont think both guys you listed are top five but I didnt start a debate over it! That is your opinion and there is no need for an argument about!!

 

The grade difference makes no difference! They are both being recruited by HM's! If both get an offer then both are HM players:confused:

That is definitely not a valid argument against a scorer. Here are a few guys who take/took a lot of shots to get their points - Kobe Bryant, Allen Iverson, Rex Chapman. I am not putting Ferguson in that class with this comment. I am just pointing out that a most scorers take a lot of shots.

Who are the 5 players in the state thats better than R.Johnson and Pittman ? R. Johnson might end up in the top 100 for his class. [iMO] right now Hood is the best player in the state, but right behind him it's the 6'5 two guard from Holmes named Mr. Johnson. He is the best player on the best team in the state. He can beat you without scoring. He does it all. I wouldn't say he is a top 5 player, I would say top 2. He will be your Mr. Basketball next year.

You dont have a shooting index of 1.5 or shoot 54% if you are forcing a lot of shots such as you guys are insinuating!!
