Jonathan takes 16.9 per game! I guess Eta consider's that a lot! I have been told by several College coaches that he should be taking 25 a game!!!!!!!!!!

Ferguson is a very good shooter, but he also takes some bad shots from the games I have seen. That doesn't change the fact that he is a very nice player.

Hopefully kids like Guyn, Pittman, and others like Hopson before them learn to mature and show up for EVERY game - at some point in their career.

 

I don't think you can compare either of those two to Hopson. Both play MUCH harder at both ends of the floor. We have to remember that both Ge and Pittman have other d1 talent around them so they aren't going to get their numbers every night, because they don't have to. Despite that, Pittman is still the leading scorer for Holmes which is impressive considering the talent around him.

Here we go again!! You turn every thread into this! Why would you post something that is so far off base? He averages 16.9 shots a game and 25.2 points! That is a 1.49 shooting index which would be considered fantastic! He shoots 54.7%!!!

 

He puts up big numbers every summer also against great competition!!

 

He only averages about 20 min a game in the 16th so his numbers could be a lot bigger!!!

 

Why couldn't you just let the guy who posted his opinion about Ferg have his opinion and leave it alone???

No need to get defensive. I never once said the kid wasn't good. I just don't think he's an ELITE player in the state. Nothing wrong with that...it's just an OPINION. Pittman dominated the #1 big men of both the senior and junior classes (Phares and Euton) and many consider Phares a top 5 player for his class, so I think it's safe to assume Pittman is a legit top 5 player in the state. Let's not forget that as a sophomore he was the second most productive player in the state tourney behind only Mr. Miller who was the best player in the state last year and now playing at UK as a freshman. I think Pittman's credentials speak for themself. It's much more impressive putting up those kinds of numbers against the state's elite players and teams rather than dropping 25 and 30 against 16th region teams. :sssh:

 

The debate between R. Johnson and Ferguson at the guard position isn't even close. Rico would dominate in that match up. Much bigger and stronger and I'm willing to bet with Rico guarding Ferg, he wouldn't score over 15 points. Rico has a much better all around game. He can play inside or outside at 6'5 and his strength and athleticism make him much tougher to defend. Ferg is simply a shooter (And a very good one, I might add), but not even close to the level of Rico. Put Pittman and Rico on EC's team and take away T. Knipp and Ferg and see if EC doesn't win a state title. That's a very legit argument.

What kind of player is the young man from Moore? I know he's putting up some bug numbers this season. I understand that he has bounced around a lot in terms of where he has gone to school. Still, something like second in the state in scoring.

I saw Jenkins play this summer on the same team as Robert Hatton of G.R.C. Robert

had 7 3's and scored over 30 points in this game,Jenkins appeared to be some what

Jenkins is the most humble kid around. You can try and put a chink in the armour if you wish. He brings confidence to the floor and absolutley lets the game come to him. At 6'4 and the total package to play guard, I can see why his college options are still expanding even though he's been out. I don't know Jenkins full list, but do know Oklahoma State had a coach in to meet with Manual's staff and is recruiting Jenkins recently. A few other new schools have picked up with Jenkins from the MAC and A-10 conferences. Its good to see this young man has his options while getting thru this season.

Just like Rico he has no offers from the High majors but is in the recruiting process whether it pans out with an offer or not!!!!!!!!!

 

He probably isn't better than Rico, but he is getting some HM attention!!!!!!!!!!

 

Have Indiana, Miss State or Tennessee given an indication how they would use him? I ask only because from what I have seen his skill set seems suited to shooting guard, but I think a 6'1 shooting guard at that level is pretty rare; or have they discussed using him at the point.? Just curious.

Oklahoma St seems to be very active in Kentucky. They are also recruiting Ricardo Johnson of Holmes.
