Why would you put how many Dunks he had in each game?

 

Dunks are worth 2 points, but they bring energy to a team, especially at the high school level. Dunks also shows a players ability to play above the rim which is a sign that they are athletic enough for DII and DI levels. I can't think of a higher percentage shot than when the ball is forced through the rim.

No mention anywhere of Eric Mosley from Moore?

 

He may be the best senior in the state and I can guarantee you he can get his shot on anyone and he is doing this in the 7th region where there are a lot of good athletes!

 

If this kid had played at the same school for the past few years, he would be at the top of a lot of these lists! :thumb:

Mosely is a 5'10 (at best) shooting guard.

He's finally getting his groove back. He's about 90% and says he's focused on conditioning. Played his first complete game other than St. X without pain. Went for 28 on 5 of 8 3's, 7 rebounds, 5 assists, and 5 steals and looked explosive at times even while boxed and chased. He's getting there. He picked a good time for a great game with Oklahoma State having a recruiter in the house.

Do academics count in the all state selections?

Pittman's stats v top 25 teams:

 

v Bryan Station: 18 pts, 9 rbs, 5 blks

v Scott County: 15 pts, 12 rbs, 4 blks

v Ballard: 15 pts, 7 rbs (I believe 4 dunks)v Tates Creek: 25 pts, 2 rbs, 2 stls, 2 blks (6 dunks)

v Bryan Station: 25 pts, 12 rbs, 2 stls, 3 blks (3 dunks)

v Seneca: 27 pts, 10 rbs (3 dunks)

v Franklin County: 20 pts, 3 ast, 2 stls, 4 blks

v Scott: 10 pts, 6 rbs (only played 15 mins)

v Highlands: 22 pts, 6 rbs (3 dunks)

Ferg had 34 pts. against Ballard (and 4 treys in the 2d half I believe which counted for 12 pts. and the 4 dunks counted 8 pts.) That's only 19 more points than Pittman, but pretty close.

 

Have read the 170+ posts on this thread and bit my tongue a hundred times, but can be silenced no longer. After reading this novel I can only reach one conclusion. Pittman and the Johnson Brothers will not play college ball, but instead be NBA Lottery picks right out of HS. UK had the unforgettables and I guess this trio should be called the untouchables. Rico would shut Ferg completely down. We should see in the next few weeks possibly on a saturday morning collision in Rupp!!!

I'd like to think Pittman is a sure fire all stater as well considering he's the leading scorer for Holmes and the performances he's put up in games against Phares and other top players/teams around the state.

 

I meant no disrespect to Pittman by not including him on the All state most likely list yet. With an award like this I believe seniors have the advantage if its close between players. But the biggest thing is going to be what happens in Rupp IMO. I think Hood, Sanford, and Phares are all 3 seniors who have had great regular seasons and have gotten a lot of attention.

Who is then? I hadn't kept up with it that close, but I have seen Ballard play 3 times and in all 3 games he has played very well. I have also seen where he has scored well in some big games I have seen the boxscore on.
