Have Indiana, Miss State or Tennessee given an indication how they would use him? I ask only because from what I have seen his skill set seems suited to shooting guard, but I think a 6'1 shooting guard at that level is pretty rare; or have they discussed using him at the point.? Just curious.

I said "rare". I'll amend that to 6'1 is "atypical" for a shooting guard at a high major. And it was an honest question - does Indiana think he fits as a 2? Tennessee? Ole Miss?

I have no Idea becuase I am not close to the family but I would say he will play the 2 in College.

Both Chad Jackson and Dakota Euton have been mentioned in this thread for All-State honors. I can see Jackson but not sure about Euton. I believe he needs to work on quickness in order to make the list. My opinion.

This is a public forum...right? I think I'm entitled to voicing my opinion. I don't consider it off base at all. As YaMine said and a few others, my point was that he FORCES a lot of shots. No need to get defensive. I never once said the kid wasn't good. I just don't think he's an ELITE player in the state. Nothing wrong with that...it's just an OPINION. Take it for what it's worth Mr. Ferguson. :thumb:

Pittman dominated the #1 big men of both the senior and junior classes (Phares and Euton) and many consider Phares a top 5 player for his class, so I think it's safe to assume Pittman is a legit top 5 player in the state. Let's not forget that as a sophomore he was the second most productive player in the state tourney behind only Mr. Miller who was the best player in the state last year and now playing at UK as a freshman. I think Pittman's credentials speak for themself. It's much more impressive putting up those kinds of numbers against the state's elite players and teams rather than dropping 25 and 30 against 16th region teams. :sssh:

 

The debate between R. Johnson and Ferguson at the guard position isn't even close. Rico would dominate in that match up. Much bigger and stronger and I'm willing to bet with Rico guarding Ferg, he wouldn't score over 15 points. Rico has a much better all around game. He can play inside or outside at 6'5 and his strength and athleticism make him much tougher to defend. Ferg is simply a shooter (And a very good one, I might add), but not even close to the level of Rico. Put Pittman and Rico on EC's team and take away T. Knipp and Ferg and see if EC doesn't win a state title. That's a very legit argument.

 

 

Ferguson scored 27 and 19 vs the best player in KY last year according to you. So you think Rico is better then Miller? Miller is taller, longer and more athletic then Rico. I think Ferguson would hold is own with Rico.

Are you sure about UT? I know coach Forbes really well.

Oklahoma St seems to be very active in Kentucky. They are also recruiting Ricardo Johnson of Holmes.

Oh, and IU's 2009 class is wrapped up including Jordan Hulls of Indiana whom this year's Kentucky Allstars will face.

I'd be very surprised if Ferguson ended up at any of those three schools..
