Is Morones of Bryan Station a junior or senior?

 

A senior. From what I have seen of him (watched Bryan Station 5 or 6 times and looked at box scores) he hasn't had that good of a season. I believe hes been sick a lot though.

Yeah I agree with that as well. Phares from what Ive seen and from the stats I have seen has only had 1 bad game this year. That was against Holmes where he also stayed in foul trouble and seemed to not play even half the game. Hes been pretty dominant most of the year. Also, from what I have seen I don't believe Ricardo Johnson should be on the 1st team. Is he 1st team as far as talent goes? Yes I believe he is. But I just don't think hes had that big of a year. A big part of that is probably the talent around him.

Yea I think he was out for like 2 or 3 weeks with an illness...the flu possibly?

Sounds like Johnson struggled again last night. I believe Hood, Phares, and Sanford are looking like sure fire all staters. After that its up in the air. Those guys could lose their status, but all 3 are seniors having big years.

I'd like to think Pittman is a sure fire all stater as well considering he's the leading scorer for Holmes and the performances he's put up in games against Phares and other top players/teams around the state.

I don't doubt that Pittman is a great player, but I don't think his performance against Scott County and Phares should be the yardstick by which he is measured. It was just the third game of the season and Scott County was playing with new players not familiar with their system. Phares picked up three fouls in the first 5 minutes helping out on defense and his fourth foul came early in the 3rd quarter. He only ended up playing 17:20 that game and was in foul trouble the whole way. Pittman's stat line was 6/15 FG, 0/5 beyond the arc, 3/8 from the free throw line, 10 rebounds, 1 turn over, and 2 blocked shots. In my opinion, that does not constitute an all state performance and it is not too tough to have a great game against a guy sitting on the bench.

I think his performance against Ballard answers the question of whether he would have scored that many points against better competition. He probably would have scored more because Ferguson would have played more than 2 or 3 quarters like he did in some games!

All State is picked by what kind of year you have not what kind of talent some guy says you have.

How do his stats not back up that he's first team? I'd love to hear the argument for that. Against top 25 competition he's averaging 19 ppg and 7 rpg.
