This was Ashland's best shot to upset a top 25 team. Clark had to give everything it had to beat Mason County in a one point game last night in a battle of the top two teams in the 10th Region.

It sounded live Clark pretty much went through the motions and still won by 11 on the road. That is a sign of a good team when they can come off a big game, go on the road less than 24 hours later, and still easily win a game against even an average opponent. And, Clark is sure young.

Really proud of the Cards to come out and beat a good team like Ashland after such an emotional win like last night really shows these kid's heart and love for the game!

Congrats to the Cards.

Maybe Ashland is starting to turn things around I really did not think this game would be that close.

Ugly win , but a win is a win. Up next for the Cards is Clay Co at home. They are ranked in the top 25 in the state. Should be a good match up.

After such a game that the Cards played in last night I was just happy to come away with the W!

Considering Ashland was only down by three in the 4th I would say Ashland has definitely improved. This Clark County team was much bigger, and more athletic. However the T-Cats didn't embarrass themselves or the fans - they played hard. If just a couple of the in and out shots had fallen it would have been a different story. Biggs got a technical early but in his postion I feel I would have veen every bit as intense at arguing that point. He has gone up consideraly in my estimation of late. Good job T-Cats and Coach Biggs.

Just glad to get the win. Kids were emotionally and physically drained from the game with Mason Co. The game today wasn't very pretty with too many forced shots . It's been a very good weekend anyway.:taz:

Cards played bad...knew they would after such an emotional game last night.

I have great respect for Coach Biggs. Remember when he coach in the 10th region at Pendleton Co.

Well, not really. They could still play the game they had scheduled with Elliott and cancelled.

I agree with old shooter, this was thier best chance...a banged up GRC team that has been falling from the rankings because of injuries or a EC team that is one of the top teams in the state. I love my Cards, and I know no disrespect was intended, but I agree with him.

I think you may have missed my point. Ashland, at home, was catching Clark County less than 24 hours after a big, emotional win over its main rival. There was no way CC's boys would play remotely up to their ability and they didn't do so. It was Ashland's best shot at upsetting a top 25 team because they caught them at the optimum time. However, there was really no doubt of the outcome- except to TruBlu who is true maroon.

As for the Elliott County game, there is no way, regardless of the scenerio, that Ashland could stay remotely close to Elliott County. So, Ashland, I'm sure, is elated that they dodged EC this year. Once the weather saved them from a trip to Sandy Hook, there was no way it would be rescheduled.:isurrender:

I don't think Ashland would want to play Clark County when the Cardinals are healthy and not physically and emotionally drained. Ashland's best shot was last night. The conclusion is that Clark is a fine team that showed just what it needed for a convincing win on the road.

Actually Clark Co. didn't have as easy a time as some posters think. I didn't expect Ashland to win but Clark didn't look overly outstanding and they wouldn't have won Mason if not for the stupid last second foul by the Mason Co. player. No disrespect to their team or coach. They are a very solid team but I was not as impressed as I thought I would be. Clearly they were more athletic than Ashland but Ashland never quit and once again, if you were there, you would have seen how easily this could have been an upset.
