One of HHS's biggest challenges I see for 2009 and recent years past is "Student Body" support at home games. Year after year, the student body attendence keeps getting smaller and smaller. Even the Covcath game, they were there for the most part but still not the same in years past. Here's an idea. Let all kids in the district in for free. Have an I.D. card that shows their school affiliation and that allows them to attend for free. Personally I would rather see 500 kids than 100 kids at the games. I know that number might be a little skewed but I was being nice on the 100. If you start letting the kids in for free, then maybe their parents will want to come and spend the $6 to get in and then spend money at concessions and so forth. I know the school doesn't get concessions but something needs to be done and they need to get creative with it.

Is it too early or have the winning/runner-up schools begun to design their respective Rings? I know that Highlands have met with their "17 person design team" and have put together a rather nice stylish ring. The usual Bling that goes on the ring. Top full of diamonds(or CZ's) with a H and record and name on the sides. Maybe a score of the game. I do know this, it doesn't have everything that last years or even past years rings have had on them. I think they are turning the page so to speak. I really look forward to seeing the final design.

From the looks of the pictures, I think the boys would have enjoyed it. It's a shame that the "memo" didn't get into the right persons hands or desk organizer. Or did it? Beechwood had no problem getting it.

Just heard that Beechwood and Highlands were honored at the Bengals game yesterday. Heard Beechwood was there in full force. Congrats to both teams on winning state and successful seasons "I guess". :confused::mad:

When will CovCath's Olympic Training Center be ready for use? Is there a name for this awesome facility or can we just use "The OTC at Wooten Field".

Man, I hope all this enthusiasm carries over into March. "Move up in rankings" and "watch out Holmes". Are you kidding me. Don't get me wrong but one game does not put them at the top. I hope they are very successful and win it all. I will be pulling for them. Maybe I'm wrong on this but I just think it's a little early IMO. Maybe not by the first rankings. Highlands got a first place vote :sssh:but were still 4th in the region. It's where you are in the end and I'm sure Willie and the boys will agree.

Principle, Athletic Director, a School board member, and a Baseball parent. Brian Robinson, Dale Mueller, ?, ? well kind of. Heard this person might have family ties to the Major Leagues. Hopefully whoever the other two are, that they have no ties to any of the applicants or want to favor one over another. I hope they pick the best for the job, school, and community because it involves all three.

The question is, who will Qb against St. X. Since HHS has a bye week, wondering how many "middle" classmen get to play this week. This ought to be good.

Wow, great job by the JV. They did this with how many kids injured or just coming back that are still sitting. That's the great thing about JV. A team can give players opportunities to step in and play while others recover from injuries and so forth. When a team gets healthy, then they can really see what they can do. This team almost beat Colerain and really gave them all they wanted with other players in the starting line up early in the season. Makes the future look bright for the Birds when all healthy even though it's pretty bright now.

Boys! Boys! All these accusations this year and over the years past about whether or not HHS ran the score up on some team(s) is just ridiculous. If he really wanted to beat CovCath by more than 61 this year he would have. Were any one of the accusers at any of HHS's games this year or years past? Probably not! So to say HHS will run up the score on Scott is also a joke. HHS will score as many points as Scott allows then to score. Whether it be Varsity, JV, or Freshman, the goal is to get into the end zone. So get over yourselves and get better!:banana:

So can HHS expect Brossart to be there or not? That will be a huge factor in the puzzle don't you agree!

Funny thing about the whole "rainbow" theme was they got some bad info. They won't admit it as a whole they were wrong, but I personally had CCH boys admit they got the wrong info. Hopefully they just cheer their team on and don't bring any unnecessary ranting to the game and that goes for Beechwood. On the game, I see Beechwood winning because of being too fast. Without VanSant in the lineup, and he doesn't come off the field, evident of last weeks game, CovCath doesn't have the speed to keep up. I say BHS 35 - CCH 14. Sorry Colonels and it doesn't get any easier next week and the week after that......

Yes they do a pretty good job of that. The thing is that it's more on the position coaches to rotate kids in or at least have them ready. I notice that only "1" Senior didn't get in the game, specials or game time, other than Josh Conner of course. Getting experience is great for the future. I hope those kids play JV today because they need the extra game time experience.

Yeah no biggie. The zebras missed a few tonight. Actually they called a ton of whatever. It's a scrimmage for them also. Too bad it effects the kids though. I would venture to say they have been doing this for quite sometime. I'm sure that group is one of the best down in Louisville with what teams that were playing. You would think they could get it right. Moving on!

How can an offer be made when the school has to post for 30 days to allow for other applications? Your understanding might be that another person has "applied". I'm with the majority that the right person should be chosen from the current staff. The program needs to keep going in the right direction and JB will provide that leadership. He has a great relationship with the players and parents and most of all the knowledge to coach.

You know it would be nice to see CovCath and Highlands in different regions like X and Trinity. That way they could meet in the State game. BTW, how does one go about changing regions around so the top two meet almost every year?
