I like the Bluebirds in this one, but I agree with mcpapa, this one could be closer than some would think.

21-13 Birds. And while I don't think it will be that close this time around, it has the potential.

I will anticipate a better crowd this week with Central coming to town. People want to see what product is going to Ky next year. Can anybody else remember the last time Central came to town and what was the special occasion for Highlands Football. I don't see Dale letting off the gas going into the playoffs. With postseason starting the following week, i see the Starters getting most of the reps.

 

I really don't like looking ahead in the playoffs but i guess it's about time to get the Big Red Tomato out of storage and empty the tanks. The last time we were in Painstville was in 98 on our way to INEZ to meet Mr Matney. Hope to see you soon coach!!!!!

BTW, I noticed Conner wasn't in the box score against MC, how much has he been playing?

Josh hasn't played since the 1st half of the LexCath game. He didn't even dress against Madison Central. I have been told it's pretty much a pain tolerance issue now. It's however much he can deal with.

I don't see this one being close as it was last year. Central hasn't met a team that compares to Highlands this year. I say we see a similar result to the Madison Central game. Central keeps it close for a half with Highlands pulling away and putting up a bunch of points in the second half.

Central played St. X this week.

Make no mistake about it, Central has the talent to WIN this game. I just wonder which team will show up to play. Central has been hot and cold all year, that speed is unreal! Do not underestimate them Birds, or else it might be you flying for cover!

While I think Highlands will probably win this game, I also think Central has a very good chance at the upset. Central played St X closer then any other team this year and that includes Trinity, Manual, and Lex Catholic. They have the toughest schedule of any 3A team in the state and I believe will give Highlands all they can handle.

Highlands too much for Central.
